Lucky Tower Ultimate released via PC early access

As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for quirky and comedic titles that offer a unique twist on familiar genres, I can’t help but be intrigued by Lucky Tower Ultimate! Having grown up playing Flash games during the golden age of web gaming, I remember the original series fondly. The prospect of diving back into the chaotic comedy roguelite world with this new installment is incredibly exciting.

Today, game developer Seufz and publishing partner AMC Games have unveiled the immediate release of Lucky Tower Ultimate, which is now available for early access through Steam on your personal computer.

Starting from now until September 20th (9am Pacific Time), the game will be available at a 10% discount, reducing its price to $14.99. This is a “2D slapstick roguelite” filled with humor, featuring an eccentric ensemble of adversaries and allies, led by the dashing knight known for his stylish hairdos: Von Wanst. The game originates from a Flash game series and invites you to enjoy its comedic elements.

Prepare to explore Evelius’s Tower, brave adventurers! Can you conquer this challenge and survive? Lucky Tower Ultimate is the first complete installment in the Lucky Tower series, building upon its previous Flash games. Journey through an intense, hilarious roguelike experience as you navigate a randomly generated tower that alters with each death or successful escape.

Anselm Pyta, a key figure in the creation and artistic direction of the Lucky Tower series, expressed that Lucky Tower Ultimate is the most amusing game they’ve ever produced. He mentioned that there are still countless absurd elements being added before version 1.0, but given the moment, it’s perfect to unveil it to players and embark on this adventure together.

If you’ve played the demo, you will find more content such as:

  • The complete tower, with a new segment in a distinctive art style
  • The Village outside the tower (if you can escape the tower to reach it) that offers meta-progression. Buy items to help you in your next run, deposit gold in the bank, purchase a shiny new haircut, and more!
  • New companions, new enemies, and new items
  • Steam achievements

Clayton Neuman, Head of Games & Franchise at AMC, stated that Lucky Tower Ultimate truly lives up to its name – a perfect embodiment of the idea that captivated countless gaming enthusiasts during the golden era of web gaming. With its release on Steam in Early Access, it retains all the elements you cherished from the original and adds more: it’s absurd, comical, and downright malicious. The rotating floors of the tower will have you rolling with laughter as it gets impaled, decapitated, and crushed – repeatedly.

Lucky Tower Ultimate is out now for PC via Steam early access.
