Searching for the legendary treasure One Piece is exhausting for any pirate crew, so it’s understandable that Monkey D. Luffy, captain of the Straw Hats, would want a break. The Boston Red Sox baseball team have become good friends with Luffy and his crew, and they’re teaming up again for another special ONE PIECE-themed night at a Red Sox game.
On May 12, 2026, fans of baseball, the anime One Piece, and the city of Boston have a special event to look forward to! The Boston Red Sox will play the Philadelphia Phillies at Fenway Park, and the game will include a celebration of the popular anime series. Tickets are only available at redsox.com/onepiece or at the Fenway Park ticket office.
The Official May 12, 2026 Boston Red Sox X ONE PIECE Theme Night Event Schedule
On May 12, 2026, the Boston Red Sox are hosting a special ONE PIECE Theme Night. The event officially starts at 4:15 PM for fans with VIP tickets. VIP ticket holders who arrive early will have the first chance to play a demo of the One Piece Card Game in the Big Concourse, and can line up for photos with the Luffy & Chopper mascots on the Sam Deck. A fan gathering will also take place on the Sam Deck at the same time.
General admission doors open at 5:15 PM, and the event lasts until 6:45 PM, when the Red Sox game against the Phillies starts. That gives general admission ticket holders an hour and a half to enjoy the fan areas, play the One Piece Card Game demo, and take pictures with Luffy and Chopper.
VIPs Will Get Official One Piece Merch on a First Come, First Served Basis
The Boston Red Sox are hosting a special ONE PIECE Theme Night, and VIP ticket holders will get early access to the event plus exclusive merchandise. This includes a limited-edition jacket featuring Luffy in a Red Sox jersey. The jackets come in adult sizes small through extra large, but supplies are limited. If you have a VIP ticket, be sure to arrive promptly at 4:15 PM to get yours!
Besides a possible Red Sox x One Piece bomber jacket, the VIP package also features a plush toy of Wally the Green Monster—the Red Sox mascot—dressed in Luffy’s signature outfit from later in the One Piece series. If you’re in or near Boston and enjoy One Piece, you definitely won’t want to miss the third annual One Piece Event.
