Luffy’s Hidden Ultimate Power Will Change One Piece Forever

This article contains spoilers for the One Piece manga.

Summary

  • Luffy’s ultimate power will be an advanced form of Conqueror’s Haki.
  • Luffy’s Haki needs improvement despite being a great Devil Fruit user.
  • Gaban, the left hand of Roger, will train Luffy to master Haki further.

As an observer, I find myself consistently awestruck by the formidable pirate, Luffy, from the captivating world of “One Piece”. However, as we draw nearer to the conclusion of this epic tale, the adversaries that Luffy encounters seem to have escalated in power beyond what I had initially perceived. In this final saga, it appears that each and every one of his foes has ascended to a new tier of strength compared to their earlier manifestations.

In order to carry on with his journey and overcome the foes that lie ahead, Luffy has just one choice: he must grow stronger still. His Awakening, Gear 5, is mighty indeed, but it isn’t his ultimate form yet. Later on, Oda will unveil a power that even outshines this one.

Luffy’s Ultimate Power Will Be Advanced Conqueror’s Haki

Luffy is a Great Devil Fruit User, But His Haki Needs Some Improvement

During the Wano arc, spectators realized that Luffy had reached his strongest transformation – Gear 5. It was this incredible form that ultimately enabled him to defeat Kaido.

In Gear 5, Luffy unleashes his transformed Devil Fruit, originally called the Gomu Gomu no Mi but now known as the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika. This transformation surpasses his earlier abilities, with the only constraint being his own creativity.

It’s clear that Gear 5 holds significant power, but it’s not likely to be Luffy’s final or ultimate ability. As the enemies he faces grow stronger, simply relying on Gear 5 won’t suffice. Oda is yet to reveal Luffy’s full power-up, and this new ability seems to be connected to his Haki.

In the world of One Piece, it’s common knowledge that Haki is the pinnacle of power. Devil Fruits are indeed impressive, but to truly excel, one needs exceptional mastery of Haki. The series’ followers have already witnessed the might of Joy Boy’s Haki during the Egghead storyline. However, Luffy isn’t just aiming to reach this level; he must surpass it as well.

It’s clear that Luffy’s ultimate power will likely involve Haki, specifically Advanced Conqueror’s Haki. This type of Haki might overpower the immortality displayed by the Five Elders and Holy Knights, and could potentially be used in conjunction with his Gear 5 form, akin to how his Gear 4 form employs Armament Haki reinforcement.

How Will Luffy Become a Better Haki User?

Gaban Is Here To Train Him

In the narrative of One Piece, Luffy has been guided by several educators. The most significant among them was none other than the right hand of the Pirate King, Dark King Rayleigh. Rayleigh schooled Luffy for a period of two years during the time skip; however, a fresh instructor has emerged in Elbaf, and this time around, he will impart even greater knowledge about Haki to Luffy.

This individual is none less than Scopper Gaban, often referred to as Roger’s right-hand man. Much like Rayleigh, Gaban possesses immense power and has demonstrated astonishing Haki against the Holy Knights. He is set to guide Luffy in mastering Haki to a new level, while further developments will unfold during battles.
