A key detail that fans can’t help but notice in these carvings is the significant role of the moon. The moon plays a crucial part within the mural and in the world of “One Piece,” as a matter of fact. Some theories suggest that Luffy himself might originate from the moon, an idea that seems far-fetched yet could potentially be true. Each time a world was destroyed, the name of the Sun God Nika was invoked, leading some to view him as a God of Liberation and others to consider him a God of Destruction. First World

Fire consumed the landscape, and people yielded to their passions, reaching for the prohibited solar orb. Enslaved beings implored, and the Solar Deity manifested. The Harley appears to provide an abundance of intriguing details about past realms, including the lives of those who inhabited them, with a special focus on Nika. However, it could potentially unveil truths about the inhabitants of the D as well.

In simpler terms, Harley’s reference to the Half-moon and Full-moon people seems intriguing as it echoes the D people in the One Piece universe. The Full-moon people can be interpreted as the moon inhabitants from the One Piece world, which are likely the Winged Races. As suggested by Enel’s backstory, these celestial beings originated from the moon.

Anciently, there was a city on the moon called Birka, where the Winged Races lived harmoniously for possibly over a thousand years. However, due to resource depletion, they were forced to abandon their lunar city and set their sights on the Earth, or the Blue Star in the One Piece world, which they eventually descended upon.

In the universe of One Piece, various winged races established themselves in distinct regions. For instance, the Skypieans dwelled on Sky Islands, possibly formed after the catastrophic destruction of the First World due to an overabundance of pyrobloin. The Lunarians ventured to the uppermost region of the Red Line and built their divine kingdom at its peak. The Shandians chose the Blue Sea, specifically the island of Jaya, as their home, while the Birkans settled on a Sky Island called Birka, which was eventually destroyed by Enel. These are the Full Moon people in the One Piece world, who have a direct link to the Half-moon people.

Because the moon people were incredibly knowledgeable, it is not surprising that their Half-moon descendants played a significant role in the development of an ancient, highly advanced civilization.

In simpler terms, it’s plausible that individuals referred to as “half-moon” in the story of One Piece are descendants of both Shandians and humans. This means that all characters in the series who possess a ‘D’ in their name originate from the Shandian lineage. Since the Shandians hail from the moon, it follows that those with ‘D’ names have a lunar connection. Interestingly, Luffy, one of the main characters, also has a connection to the moon and can be considered half-alien in relation to humans.
