As a seasoned adventurer with countless hours spent traversing the mystical landscapes of Hyrule, I can confidently say that the hunt for the fearsome Lynel in “Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom” is an unforgettable experience. This behemoth, with its imposing presence and relentless ferocity, is a true testament to the challenges that await those who dare to venture into the heart of Hyrule’s darkest corners.
If your Echoes are struggling against the tough monsters in “Echoes of Wisdom” during the late-game, it might be beneficial to search for stronger ones. Once you’ve finished the first three dungeons, consider venturing further into Hyrule if you haven’t already. Heading north from Hyrule Castle Town will lead you to one of the most powerful Echoes: The Lynel. This formidable enemy was reintroduced in “Breath of the Wild” and can now be controlled in “Echoes of Wisdom.” Similar to its counterpart in “BotW/TotK,” the Lynel is a fierce adversary, one you’ll likely want to confront after mastering level 2 or 3 Echoes.

Where to Find Eternal Forest
In the mystical Eternal Forest, sandwiched between Hebra and Eldin, dwells the formidable creature known as the Lynel. However, to encounter this beast, you must first resolve the chasm above the Northern Sanctuary. While it’s feasible to tackle this rift prior to the “Still Missing” quest, the Lynel won’t manifest until Zelda acquires the ability to change her attire.
After locating Tri’s companions within the Northern Sanctuary fissure, step into the sanctuary and approach the priest standing at the podium. Select the option “Other Stories?” and inquire about the beast. He will share information about monster tracks spotted in the Eternal Forest.
Following Lynel Tracks
Disregarding the priest’s cautions, I decided to venture towards the Eternal Forest in the west. A notable Waypoint statue stands at its entrance as a guide. The map of the Eternal Forest doesn’t have clearly marked paths. Instead, I suggest starting from the road that leads into the forest and heading slightly northwest. You should encounter another Waypoint statue along your journey.
A few feet south of the Waypoint statue are hoof tracks in the mud. You will need to follow these around the Eternal Forest until you find the Lynel.
- From the first hoof prints, go west to find another set.
- From here, go west again.
- The third set of tracks lead south, so follow these.
- You should see a Sword Moblin Lv 2 near your next set, which points southeast.
- The following steps go east, past the area with a Caromadillo.
- When you’re back near the entrance, you’ll find hoof prints that weren’t there when you first walked in. These lead north, and then northeast to a path that leads to a clearing.
If the hoof prints aren’t visible in the mud where you are heading, then it’s necessary for you to
Tips for Fighting the Lynel
How Much Does the Lynel Echo Cost to Use?
In the game, “Echoes of Wisdom,” the Lynel is a tough adversary who can quickly defeat your weaker versions (Echoes). If you have Level 3 Echoes available, use them for this battle. If not, go with Level 2 Echoes instead. It’s suggested that you strengthen Tri’s Echo first, to the point where you can summon two Level 2 Echoes. This will give you a better chance in the fight against Lynel, as you can call upon more powerful versions of yourself.
As a fellow gamer, I’d suggest giving the Lynel a run for his money with a Level 3 Lizalfos, hidden in a cave to the southwest of Faron Wetlands, north of that heart-shaped lake. This swift creature can nimbly dodge around the enemy, making it an ideal adversary for the Lynel compared to most other monsters. Just beware, if you successfully block its spear attack, the Lizalfos can be stunned, creating a perfect opportunity for a counterattack. If the Lizalfos proves too tough, try using a Level 3 Sword Moblin instead, which can be found near the second set of Lynel tracks as a backup strategy.
In simpler terms, you won’t be able to pin down the Lynel using Tri’s Binding Skill. Instead, ensure Zelda stays safely away from the Lynel, and summon your Echo whenever necessary. Additionally, you can take advantage of Swordfighter Mode’s bow to shoot at it from a distance when needed.
In time, the fearsome Lynel will be defeated, allowing you to master its Echo. This formidable creature is an excellent choice for battles, even against the final boss. The Lynel calls for a total of 6 triangles of Tri’s power. You can utilize the Lynel’s Echo once Tri reaches level 9. If you manage to elevate Tri to its maximum level/level 11, the cost to summon the Lynel will adjust to a reduced amount of 5 triangles.
