As a die-hard gaming enthusiast who’s been around since the days of Pong and Atari, it’s no surprise to see Madden 25 dominating the US sales charts again. I remember when we used to play with the original Madden on the NES, and now here we are, with an improved version selling millions each year! It’s like watching Tom Brady’s career – consistent excellence that never seems to fade.
For August 2024, sales figures for video games in the United States have been made public, and it’s no shock who leads the pack. As per the recent report by Circana, Madden 25 has emerged as the top-selling game in the U.S. last month.
In August, four new entries joined the sales charts: Madden 25, Star Wars Outlaws, Visions of Mana, and Gundam Breaker 4. Additionally, three games that were previously outside the top 20 in July have made their way into this month’s rankings. These include The Elder Scrolls: Online, Forza Horizon 5, and Gran Turismo 7.
Noteworthy points include the fact that Star Wars Outlaws, although facing difficulties to reach a total sale of 1 million copies, ranked third in sales revenue for August. Additionally, three out of the top four positions on the sales chart are occupied by EA Sports Football games, with Madden 25 at the first place, College Football 25 at the second, and the EA Sports MVP Bundle securing the fourth spot.
Rounding out the top five is Elden Ring.
