As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for immersive narratives and gritty crime dramas, the announcement of Mafia: The Old Country has sent ripples of excitement coursing through my gaming soul. The Old Country is a game rich in storytelling and action, offering an engaging experience for those who enjoy delving into unfamiliar, thrilling realms of crime and mystery. This visually impressive production transports players into a gritty underworld, using intense combat systems with stealth and gunplay that feel genuine and high-stakes.

As I step into the world of “Mafia: The Old Country,” I become one with a fresh, unique character that breathes life into this captivating narrative. In an era where mastery in the use of a stiletto blade meant survival, and a lupara sawed-off shotgun was a trusted companion, I navigate through a landscape drenched in vendettas that have simmered for generations. Here, mafiosi rule not only on foot but also astride horses or cruising the streets in vintage automobiles of the turn-of-the-century.

With unyielding resilience and a strong will, Enzo endured his difficult childhood working in Sicily’s brutal sulfur mines as an indentured laborer. Fate has now granted him a chance to join the crime family of Don Torrisi, and he is prepared to go to any length to create a more prosperous existence for himself. By taking an oath, Enzo has bound himself to the Torrisi family’s honor code, accepting both its power and hardships. A fundamental fact that he must always keep in mind is: Family demands Sacrifices.

According to Nick Baynes, President of Hangar 13, ‘Mafia: The Old Country’ is a heartfelt tribute to traditional, raw Mafia narratives. It allows players to explore the roots of organized crime. Our team at Hangar 13 is dedicated to crafting an authentic and immersive tale within the franchise, and we’re thrilled for gamers to embark on this adventure alongside Enzo.’

Mafia: The Old Country is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S|X in 2025.
