Wizards of the Coast says the issue is with how the game finds matches for players, and some users are reporting they can’t even save their draft decks. Players are also experiencing connection issues in other parts of the game. Wizards of the Coast hasn’t said when draft mode will be back online or if the servers will need to be taken down completely for repairs.

Currently, Magic: The Gathering Arena is experiencing server problems right in the middle of a big draft event. This event, called Arena Direct, started on December 26th, letting players compete in limited formats for real prizes. It features the new Avatar: The Last Airbender expansion, and players can win entire boxes of booster packs by winning at least six matches. Because of the server issues and potential downtime, some players are requesting an extension to the event.
