The anime One Piece is currently in the Elbaf arc, which is expected to be where most of the Straw Hat Pirates gain new abilities. Luffy will likely become even more powerful, especially with improvements to his Conqueror’s Haki, and both Zoro and Sanji are also predicted to strengthen their own Haki skills.

While Zoro is working on improving his Haki, his greatest strength comes from being a swordsman. He gets his biggest boosts in power by making his swords even stronger. Luckily, there’s a lot of room for him to grow in this area, and the story is already hinting at his next sword upgrade.

Zoro’s Sandai Kitetsu Is The Weak Link

Zoro is known for constantly improving his sword collection. He began his adventure with Luffy owning only Wado Ichimonji, a sword he received after Kuina’s passing. He later acquired Yubashiri and Sandai Kitetsu in Loguetown. However, Yubashiri was lost during the battle at Enies Lobby, and he obtained Shusui during the events on Thriller Bark.

As a huge Zoro fan, I’ve been doing some digging, and it’s pretty clear that Sandai Kitetsu is actually his weakest sword! It’s a Wazamono Grade blade, which means it’s a step below both Emma and his first sword, Wado Ichimonji. Honestly, it’s the one he really needs to upgrade, and I’m excited to see what he finds to replace it with!

Zoro Will Get Nidai Kitetsu In The Future

Nidai Kitetsu Was Crafted By Kozuki Sukiyaki

Zoro absolutely needs to keep a Kitetsu sword. He’s destined to fight Nusjuro, and that fight will involve a clash of Kitetsu blades. However, Sandai Kitetsu isn’t strong enough for the challenge. If Zoro wants to both battle Nusjuro with a Kitetsu and improve his swordsmanship, Nidai Kitetsu is the best option.

Zoro noticed something unusual about the sword and asked Luffy if he could examine it. He was referring to the Nidai Kitetsu.

The Nidai Kitetsu was made by Kozuki Sukiyaki, the former Shogun of Wano and Oden’s father. It’s considered his best work and a remarkably strong sword. It seems likely Zoro will end up claiming it, as it would be unusual for the author to let such a powerful weapon go unused.

A Clash Of Kitetsu Swords Will Unfold Soon

Zoro needs the Sandai Kitetsu to break before he can obtain the Nidai Kitetsu. This might happen during the Elbaf arc, or sometime afterward, giving Zoro a chance to push his training further. Since only Sukiyaki can give Zoro the Nidai Kitetsu, it’s likely Zoro will receive his final sword during the ultimate battle, where he’ll probably encounter the samurai from Wano again. This will help him become even more powerful and allow him to fully blacken all his blades.

The newest chapter of One Piece is coming out this week, as it typically does on Sundays. While it will be released in Japan at midnight JST on Monday, most fans around the world will be able to read it on November 2nd. The chapter will be available for free on Manga Plus.
