In the 86th episode of their regular broadcast, Letter from the Producer Live, the producer and director of Final Fantasy 14, Naoki Yoshida, announced that the Patch 7.2, titled Seekers of Eternity, is scheduled to release on March 25, a Tuesday. Following a maintenance period of 24 hours, this exciting new update for Final Fantasy 14 will become available. The new features included in this update will be rolled out gradually over time.
A day prior to the Live Letter broadcast, Yoshida was interviewed by Japanese media and spoke about some of the features in Patch 7.2. Yoshida mentioned that Seekers of Eternity will feature both anticipated aspects from major updates and quality-of-life improvements. An exciting new function named “jog” allows players to maintain a quick pace after using Sprint within cities or hubs. Once the effect of Sprint wears off, jogging will preserve some of the player’s momentum, enabling them to move swiftly around certain areas. With the substantial amount of content included in Patch 7.2, Yoshida stated that Seekers of Eternity is one of the largest updates for Final Fantasy 14 thus far.
In their March 14 Letter from the Producer Live broadcast, Yoshida and Toshio Murouchi announced that the Seekers of Eternity update for Final Fantasy 14 will become accessible starting Tuesday, March 25. However, it’s important to note that the game will not be playable on March 24 due to a 24-hour maintenance period before the patch. They also unveiled a trailer for Patch 7.2, offering fans sneak peeks of upcoming features like the Underkeep dungeon, the Recollection trial, and glimpses of the Occult Crescent field operation and Cosmic Exploration feature.
