Starting May 2, 2025, Marvel enthusiasts visiting Disney California Adventure can look forward to an exciting addition to the Avengers Campus, as a new character will be joining the roster! Lately, Disney has been treating park guests to a series of delightful surprises.
Whenever a Marvel film premieres, fans cannot wait to find out if any characters from the movies will appear at Disney parks, which serves as a dual marketing strategy. Of course, there are always some surprises in store for those anticipating the Thunderbolts movie, such as the introduction of a new character at California Adventure.
Starting on the very same day the movie unveils, I’ll make my grand entrance at the Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure for a brief spell! Although Disney has announced that I’ll be available for meet-and-greets starting May 2nd, they haven’t given an end date yet. So, if you don’t want to miss out on this exciting collaboration, make sure to plan your visit promptly!

Instead of finding Bucky at the park, opting for Red Guardian as an alternative to Captain America makes perfect sense, given his knack for adding excitement to the crowd. Though less popular due to fewer appearances on screen, Bucky being a veteran in movies and all, Red Guardian seems to radiate charm. Critics have been largely positive about Thunderbolts, often praising the Red Guardian’s performance as a standout element of the film.
This year is shaping up to be exciting for Disney Parks enthusiasts, as the celebrations for Disneyland’s 70th anniversary commence in May. Already, they have unveiled some fresh experiences that are set to begin soon, accompanied by new merchandise, collectibles, and food choices. Additionally, exclusive discounts will be introduced alongside these offerings.
This unique year seems to hold even more excitement in store, not just for park visitors, but also those lodging at the Disneyland Resort. From now until May 11th, fans who venture into both parks can look forward to the Season of the Force and Star Wars Nights on specific evenings at Disneyland, culminating in Star Wars Day on May 4th.
