Getting Hooked Never Being This Easy

I played a lot of Marvel Snap in 2023 – over 1,000 hours, mostly on my phone! I still have great memories of both winning amazing matches and losing in surprising ways. It’s hard to say how good the game is right now since I haven’t played recently, and current Steam reviews are mixed. But for me, Marvel Snap will always be one of the most creative and enjoyable collectible card games I’ve ever experienced.

Like many collectible card games, Marvel Snap can require a lot of effort to stay current with updates and earn all the rewards, and it’s often frustrating to play against opponents using only the most powerful decks. However, the game excels in many areas, boasting stunning visuals, inventive gameplay, quick matches, and a huge roster of diverse characters and card options. Marvel Snap constantly encourages you to try new strategies and combinations, making it consistently fun and rewarding.

A Game of Two Parts, With One Being a Definite Masterpiece

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is a unique game that won’t appeal to everyone. It’s a blend of two distinct experiences: a casual, character-focused hub where you explore a mansion and build relationships with Marvel heroes, and a challenging, turn-based combat system inspired by XCOM. While Firaxis, the developers, are known for their tactical games, the real strength of Midnight Suns lies in its combat. The character interactions will likely only appeal to die-hard Marvel fans, but the combat is exceptional and unlike anything else available.

Okay, so the combat in Marvel’s Midnight Suns is seriously unlike anything I’ve played in a superhero game before. It’s this awesome mix of deep tactical strategy and using card-based powers. There are 17 heroes to unlock and they’re all really well-developed – honestly, if you’re getting it, spring for the Legendary Edition, you won’t regret it. Each hero plays so differently, which keeps every fight feeling fresh and challenging. I’ve put dozens of hours in, unlocking new abilities and characters, and it’s still a blast, even when the odds are totally stacked against you or you’re facing a tough boss!
