As a long-time comic book enthusiast, I must say that the skins in Marvel Rivals have truly outdone themselves! The attention to detail and creativity shown in each design is simply astounding.
In contrast to other hero shooting games, what makes Marvel Rivals enjoyable is its third-person perspective. This allows players to fully appreciate their stylish character skins within the game, rather than just seeing their arms like in some other games.
Given the numerous transformations in costumes by both Marvel’s heroes and villains throughout time, it’s evident that there’s a rich source of possibilities for character skins in Marvel Rivals.
Regardless if their costumes are inspired by films, comics, or uniquely created for this game, these characters are undeniably well-dressed in their finery.
Keep in mind that this content originates from Marvel Rivals’ initial season and may undergo modifications as subsequent updates are made.
10. Avengers: Endgame
Iron Man
Across various stages of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Iron Man donned several versions of his suit. Each successive version showcased greater technological sophistication and intricacy, reaching its peak with the nanotechnology-based suit he employed in battling Thanos.
In Marvel Rivals, it’s the Avengers: Endgame-inspired suit that you’ll be able to use, featuring a grand entrance similar to the climactic battle scene, symbolizing your Most Valuable Player status.
Without a doubt, whether it’s the iconic Iron Man helmet or the streamlined, robust body armor, there’s no forgetting the suit that echoes the unforgettable phrase: “I am Iron Man.
9. Bast’s Chosen
Black Panther
Although Wakanda boasts some of the most cutting-edge technology on our planet, it also carries a rich heritage that harks back to an era believed to have been graced by the gods.
Wakanda is safeguarded not only through its advanced Vibranium technology, but also under the divine favor of the Panther Goddess, Bast. It’s her power that enables King T’Challa and his predecessors to bear the title of Black Panther.
This bold ensemble symbolizes the idea that it’s not the clothing that defines the power, but rather the individual who wears it. T’Challa could be just as formidable in a fur coat and his natural claws.
8. Green Scar
Hulk
As a gamer, I’d rephrase that like this: “When Earth’s mighty figures grew weary of my uncontrollable outbursts, they blasted me off in a rocket, sending me soaring into the cosmos.
As a gamer, I found myself transported to an alien world known as Sakaar. After some unavoidable smash-fests, I unexpectedly claimed the throne and emerged as the realm’s mightiest warlord – quite the adventure!
This attire brings to mind his time as King of Sakaar during the Planet Hulk storyline, perched majestically on a rocky throne and adorned in battle-tested gladiator armor. It’s fascinating how a colossal, enraged man fueled by raw anger could make such an impressive monarch.
7. Deadpool & Wolverine
Wolverine
Wolverine’s signature style has traditionally been his blue and yellow attire, which makes it disheartening to see him portrayed in leather outfits or tank-tops during the early 2000s instead.
It’s fortunate that both the Deadpool & Wolverine movie premiere and this attire serve as a reminder to us all – Wolverine certainly carries off a yellow jumpsuit and mask quite well, period.
To ensure authenticity, all instances of Wolverine in the game should feature the iconic yellow suit, whether it’s his default costume or an alternate option. By doing so, Marvel Rivals sets itself apart from other Marvel games by staying true to the original character design.
6. Master Of Magnetism
Magneto
Over time, much like Wolverine, Magneto’s appearance has been softened somewhat. This change is due to aesthetic considerations as well as his transformation into a character with more morally ambiguous traits.
Although the standard Marvel Rivals appearance is quite appealing, our personal preference leans towards the classic red and purple costume instead.
In my gaming world, I found myself embodying the character of Magneto, fully embracing his villainous persona. Wreaking havoc on cities, controlling the Sentinels, and subtly threatening with every arm gesture.
When Magneto welcomed you to die in the old arcade game, he did it with this look.
5. Mohawk Rock
Storm
Storm has consistently epitomized style, looking fabulous in most ensembles she dons. Though we admire her timeless black and silver bodysuits, a particular look resonates powerfully as the iconic attire for this weather deity, leaving an indelible impression on our minds.
In the X-Men comic series starting from the 1980s, Storm adopted a striking punk rock look with a bold mohawk hairstyle and sleek leather attire.
To put it simply, among the X-Men, Storm stood out as the one who wore leather exceptionally well, so we’re pleased to notice that this style is reappearing in Marvel Rivals.
4. Punisher 2099
The Punisher
Back in the groove of the ’90s, I found myself hooked on Marvel’s 2099 comic series. These weren’t your average heroes; they were futuristic counterparts, set against a grimy cyberpunk backdrop of a dystopian future. You know how it was in those days… the neon lights, the grunge, and the thrill of stepping into an alternate universe!
One of the heroes introduced in the 2099 run was Jacob “Jake” Gallows, also known as Punisher 2099.
Similar to his forerunner, Gallows frequently employed firearms and unofficial methods, but what set him apart were the cybernetic upgrades that augmented his physical prowess.
It’s quite astonishing, but the Punisher 2099 costume in Marvel Rivals has been made even more over-the-top compared to its comic book counterpart. Notably, it includes a facial plate adorned with a skull and glowing, fiery eye lasers.
3. Galactic Fangs
Hawkeye
In Marvel Rivals, many character skins are drawn from the rich tapestry of Marvel’s past, while others are uniquely crafted as rewards for progressing through the Battle Pass.
One such reward is Hawkeye’s Galactic Fangs outfit, a striking battlesuit forged entirely out of Vibranium.
This outfit stands out due to its strong resemblance to the iconic Hawkeye costume. It’s entirely purple, sports a big-winged hood, and boasts a large ‘H’ emblem neatly placed on the waistband.
Here’s a contemporary spin on Hawkeye for the films that we’d appreciate:
2. Incognito Dolphin
Jeff The Land Shark
Reminiscing about a comic strip featuring Jeff the Land Shark, I found myself longing to take a dip at the beach. Yet, I was reminded of an awkward truth – my aquatic companions tend to get jittery around me, considering the fact that I’m a shark, after all.
To solve this issue, Jeff decided to visit his neighborhood costume store and purchased a small dolphin suit, ideal for surfing waves without startling anyone. What a thoughtful person!
In contrast to the standard blue attire of the comics, this version sports a fluffy pink hue, adding an adorable touch to Jeff and making him coordinated with his friend Gwenpool.
1. Mister Knight
Moon Knight
As a Moon Knight gamer, I often don my intimidating mask and hooded cape to strike fear into the hearts of those I pursue in the darkness. But let’s face it, not every situation calls for an avatar of vengeance. Sometimes, I need a more approachable look – something that doesn’t scream “I’m here to kick your ass,” but rather, “Hey there, can I help you with something?
Moon Knight created the “Mister Knight” alter ego for dealing with more refined individuals without causing unnecessary alarm. Despite being a relentless avenger, he can also polish up his appearance when needed.
To be honest, we’re unsure whether Mr. Knight is merely a disguise or another one of Marc Spector’s multiple identities. However, it might not matter too much in the grand scheme of things.
