Players can acquire these skins through various methods, including Twitch drops, Battle Pass rewards, completing in-game challenges, using codes, or purchasing them in the shop.

During Season 0 – Dooms’ Rise, several characters received new skins. However, some characters lagged behind when it comes to cosmetics. As for Season 1, there are certain characters who could benefit from receiving a skin to help them match up with others, even if this is offered as a purchase option in the store.

7. Storm

A Duelist Falling Behind In Multiple Areas Of Season 0

Storm, in the game Marvel Rivals, is a Duelist character who possesses a special set of abilities. She can toggle between enhancing the attack power or speed of herself and her allies. Utilizing gusts of wind and bolts of lightning, she inflicts damage on opponents. Her ultimate skill transforms her into a whirlwind that attracts nearby enemies and causes harm to them.

In Season 0, Storm found herself in a challenging position because she doesn’t fit neatly into any specific role, combining aspects of Damage Per Second (DPS), Duelist, Support, and Strategist. However, she excels neither in damage output nor support capabilities. Regrettably, her damage is significantly lower than other heroes, making her a frequent target. Furthermore, she often finds herself vulnerable, much like a sitting duck. Unfortunately, this wasn’t her only hurdle in Season 0, as she only had two cosmetic options aside from her standard outfit – Ivory Breeze, which is essentially a recolor of her default skin, and Mohawk Rock, a comic-book inspired skin from Marvel Comics.

6. Black Widow

Lacking Cosmetics In Comparison To Other Snipers

Black Widow is one of the select few sharpshooter characters in the game, armed with a long-range hitscan sniper rifle for taking down adversaries from afar, and electric stun batons to inflict modest damage at close quarters. Her Fleet Foot talent allows her to run great distances and execute an elevated leap, which can aid her in moving to strategic vantage points. Additionally, her Edge Dancer ability causes harm with a spinning kick. Last but not least, her Electro-Plasma Explosion ultimate releases a projectile that slows down all impacted enemies, making it simpler for her to eliminate them.

In team-ups, Black Widow pairs with Hawkeye, a fellow marksman. This means she can see his afterimages when he unleashes his ultimate move, making it simpler to eliminate opponents during that period. Unlike Hawkeye who got three unique skins besides the default one by the end of Season 0, Black Widow has slightly fewer options, with just two: Lethal Toxicity, a variant shared by all heroes in a recolor theme, and White Suit, an MCU-inspired cosmetic.

Last but not least, her ultimate, Share the Stage, empowers her with an area-of-effect ability that she can toggle to either bestow massive healing or confer substantial damage amplification to her allies.

Despite becoming a popular choice among frequently played heroes because of her user-friendly controls but demanding skill level, Luna Snow was one of the Strategist characters with the least number of skins at the end of Season 0 – Dooms’ Rise. Before the start of Season 1, she only had two cosmetics: Minty Beats, a recolor shared by all heroes, and Shining Star, an original design that was available in the shop.

4. Cloak & Dagger

A Duo With Endless Potential For Cosmetics

Characters Cloak and Dagger stand out in this game due to their distinctive traits. Players can switch between these two characters at will, each having slightly varied skills. Dagger uses targeted projectiles that harm enemies while healing friends, creates a wall for enhanced healing effects on teammates it touches, and unleashes an area-of-effect heal that benefits everyone within. On the other hand, Cloak wields a lock-on damage beam resembling Scarlet Witch’s, passes through all adversaries he encounters, blinding and damaging them. Furthermore, he can phase himself and his companions, rendering them invulnerable for a brief period.

Similar to numerous other contenders on this roster, Cloak & Dagger currently boast just two distinct appearances beyond their standard one. One of these is a variant of the common recolor shared by all heroes, known as Lemon Lime, while the other adopts a fanciful, fairy-tale-like appearance called Growth & Decay, which can be acquired from the in-game store. It would certainly be gratifying to witness Cloak & Dagger receiving fresh looks during Season 1, given their unique blend of characters and the abundance of creative possibilities that could ensue.

3. Hulk

The Vanguard Most Left Behind In The Cosmetics Department

Hulk has the ability to switch between his Hero Hulk form and Bruce Banner on demand or when forced out of Hulk mode if his HP reaches zero. In comparison, Bruce only carries a pistol and Gamma Grenade. However, Hulk can assume a melee tank position by delivering powerful punches in combat, darting in and out of battle, creating Gamma Barriers to safeguard himself or allies under threat, and momentarily locking down enemies with his Radioactive Freeze ability. Lastly, his ultimate move, Hulk Smash, allows for aggressive tactics by transforming into the Monster Hulk.

Unlike certain characters from Vanguard’s team, such as Venom who boasted up to four different skins by the end of Season 0, Hulk is unique in that he only possesses two cosmetics beyond his basic default outfit. His two available options are Mighty G. Bomb, a recolor shared among all heroes, and Green Scar, a Marvel Comics-inspired skin. With Hulk’s distinctive appearance, it leaves plenty of potential for creative designs, especially for his Hero form, making us eager to see the ideas that the Marvel Rivals team might bring to life in the future.

2. Iron Fist

Meditating Patiently As He Waits For A New Skin

Iron Fist functions as a close-combat Duelist character, often causing trouble for opponents by charging towards the backline using wall runs and melee combinations. He then focuses on eliminating vulnerable targets such as healers or isolated heroes. Iron Fist also boasts self-healing abilities, which, when combined with an aggressive yet tactical playstyle that prioritizes engagement and disengagement, allows him to remain active for extended periods and consistently secure kills.

As Season 0 – Dooms’ Rise nears its conclusion, Iron Fist currently possesses only two additional outfits apart from his default attire: the Martial Arts Savant skin, a basic recolor variation shared among all heroes, and Sword Master, one of the numerous Marvel Comics skins featured during Season 0. It would be exciting to introduce a fresh take on an Iron Fist cosmetic, possibly incorporating a unique theme or visual style to complement the upcoming season.

1. Psylocke

Despite Immense Popularity, She Is Severely Lacking In Skins

Psylocke is a formidable Duelist hero, both technically skilled and incredibly powerful, who rose to become one of the top choices and highest DPS heroes during Season 0. She can attack others with rapid hitscan cross bolts, heal herself while damaging enemies with her shurikens, use timed invisibility for strategic flanking maneuvers against opponents or escape from difficult situations, and unleash massive area-of-effect damage on enemies through her ultimate by slashing them with wide sweeps.

Similar to other Duelists on this list, Psylocke has only been given two alternative appearances besides her standard one. These include the Vengeance cosmetic, a Marvel Comics-inspired skin, and her Kirisaki Sakura cosmetic, which is a recolor variant of the default skin for all heroes. However, it’s clear that Psylocke could benefit from a fresh new design to flaunt in battle, given her growing popularity as a go-to choice in both professional and casual gaming scenarios.
