In their own making, the developers of Marvel Rivals have crafted an exclusive tale for this hero-shooter game. With impressive sales figures, Marvel has chosen to incorporate this game’s narrative into a comic book series. Notably, a new blog post on the Marvel website discloses that “Marvel Rivals #1,” a unique one-shot comic inspired by the game’s plotline, is slated for release in April 2025. The Marvel Rivals graphic novel is penned by Paul Allor and illustrated by Luca Claretti. For the first time, the entire six-issue run of Marvel Unlimited’s Marvel Rivals Infinity Comic will be available in print format. Fans can download a digital version via the Marvel Unlimited App or acquire a hardcopy at their local comic book retailer once it becomes accessible.
In Marvel Rivals #1 comic book, the narrative unfolds in Tokyo 2099, a city grappling with a time rift disrupting the Web of Life and Destiny. Two factions have emerged, each advocating different solutions. The first group, led by Peni Parker, proposes connecting the Web to Cyberspace as a possible solution. Meanwhile, Spider-Man leads the second group, suggesting they use Chronovium to fortify the Web, allowing it to self-repair.
