Beginning on January 10, 2025, Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls will start! Developers, Netease, have recently unveiled what exciting features we can anticipate in the upcoming season, such as new characters, locations, gameplay modes, and additional surprises.

What to Expect from Marvel Rivals Season 1

In Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, four fresh characters join the playable list, these being the Fantastic Four. Additionally, three new battlefields are set to debut: Sanctum Sanctorum under the Empire of Eternal Night, Midtown, and Central Park. This season will boast twice as much playable content as usual, increasing the roster size to a total of 37 heroes by its conclusion.

Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman. Moreover, a new convoy map called Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown will debut during Marvel Rivals Season 1 Part 1. Lastly, a fresh game mode titled Doom Match can be played within the Sanctum Sanctorum in part one of the season.

Marvel Rivals Season 1 Battle PassĀ

In Season 1 of Marvel Rivals, developers are offering twice as much content as Season 0 for the Eternal Night Falls-themed battle pass. This pass grants access to 10 brand new skins. The Battle Pass is priced at 990 Lattice and upon completion, players will receive a bonus of 600 Lattice and 600 Units. Once obtained, the battle pass does not expire.

Marvel Rivals Season 1 Balancing Changes

The developers plan on reducing the strength of powerful long-range fighters, specifically Hela and Hawkeye, which means they’ll be weakened or adjusted soon. On the other hand, they will boost the abilities of characters like Captain America and Venom who are mobile Vanguards, and also enhance characters that excel in specific team compositions such as Wolverine and Storm.

The characters Cloak and Dagger will get boosts to make them stronger and more effective in various team compositions during Marvel Rivals Season 1. Lastly, the range of Jeff the Land Shark’s ultimate ability is being adjusted to match early warning signs better.

Pick Rates and Win Rates

By the close of Season 0, Marvel Rivals creators promise to share the selection frequency and victory percentages for all characters on every supported platform. Keep in mind that quick match stats for PC and Console will be combined due to cross-platform fights, but separate figures will be accessible for competitive play. Expect these character pick and win rates to be disclosed every half-season.

Rank Adjustments

To wrap things up, the launch of Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls will reset competitive standings. Each player will drop seven divisions based on their final position in Season 0. Furthermore, this season introduces a new significant rank, Celestial, positioned between Grandmaster and Eternity ranks.

Additional Settings

In response to player suggestions, the developers plan to offer extra tools at the onset of Marvel Rivals Season 1. One of these new features is a frame rate boost option. Additionally, mouse acceleration settings will be included for enhanced customization. Furthermore, a streamer mode is set to debut during the initial phase of Season 1, catering to both up-and-coming and established content creators.

Further information regarding Marvel Rivals Season 1 Part 2 will be unveiled at a later time, offering additional insights into characters such as The Thing and Human Torch.
