In the course of playing Marvel Rivals, you’ll encounter three distinct forms of currency. Although each serves a unique purpose, it’s probable that you’ll find yourself using Units more frequently than the others.
In the Marvel Rivals game, Units serve as the common form of currency. You can utilize these Units to acquire fresh skins for your preferred characters or buy store packages containing various cosmetic goods, in addition to individual cosmetic items.
Instead of Lattice currency, purchasing Units isn’t an option using real money; instead, you must find alternative methods to increase your inventory stock.
Absolutely! In essence, this implies that Units can be obtained without any costs whatsoever in Marvel Rivals. To clarify the various methods for earning these Units, we’ve prepared a guide that you can find below.
Ways to Get More Units in Marvel Rivals
There are three different options available for earning Units within Marvel Rivals, none of which require any payment. However, it’s important to note that you can also opt to buy Units with real money if you prefer.
We’ll get into that and all the other ways to earn Units below.
Complete Achievements
The first and most common way you’ll earn Units is by completing in-game Achievements.
To reach the Achievements area in Marvel Rivals, first, access the main menu. Then, look for the gift icon located at the upper-right corner of the screen and click on it. Once there, move over to the ‘Achievements’ tab and tap on the new gift icon associated with each achievement category.
At present, there are four areas where you can accumulate achievements, and as you finish more tasks within each section, you’ll be granted Units, in addition to other forms of currency and cosmetics. For instance, one of these sections gives you 100 Units for every 40 Achievement Points you collect.
In each section, you gain Achievement Points as you complete tasks. To add these points to your total, click the “Claim All” button after finishing a task. If you’ve accumulated enough points for a reward, it will be automatically credited to your account.
Playing Marvel Rivals consistently and switching between multiple characters will help you unlock numerous achievements. These accomplishments, in turn, provide you with hundreds of Units which can then be utilized for personalizing your preferred heroes.
Finish Battle Pass Tiers
The next way to earn Units is by completing specific tiers on the Battle Pass.
In the “Season” section within Marvel Rivals, you’ll find the ongoing Battle Pass and the particular page you’re dealing with. Each Battle Pass page provides a predefined number of Units upon unlocking a certain tier.
In this setup, tiers can be accessed by accumulating and using 200 Chrono Coins, an alternate form of money. Once you use 200 Chrono Coins to open a tier granting Units, these units are instantly added to your collection. The Premium Battle Pass provides more units compared to the free one, but they both offer the same type of currency.
The Battle Pass doesn’t have many units to give away, but what it does provide can be earned for free if you manage to complete the pass by playing regularly.
To get the most Units, it’s best to complete the whole Battle Pass. In the first season, you can earn up to 300 Units from the Battle Pass, but this amount may grow in future seasons as the pass will likely include more tiers.
Convert Lattice
The final way to acquire Units is by converting your existing Lattice.
If you’ve earlier bought any Lattices from Marvel Rivals, you now have the option to swap them all at a 1-to-1 rate for Units. Essentially, each Lattice you own will be exchanged for a corresponding Unit.
When you’re dealing with the currency known as Lattice, it costs $1 for every 100 units. So, if you’re interested in purchasing a store bundle that amounts to 2,000 units, you would need to invest $20 worth of Lattice. Afterward, you can exchange all your Lattice into Units to make the purchase. Whether or not it’s advantageous for you to convert your Lattice to Units is entirely up to your own judgment.
When I opt for currency conversion, there’s no going back. Essentially, I’m swapping my hard-earned cash for a different currency, which in turn can be used to buy cool cosmetic items.
In a simple and conversational manner, here’s how you might rephrase that statement: “To switch from Lattice to Units in Marvel Rivals, just navigate to the main menu and look for the blue icon at the top-right corner of your screen – it represents Units.
By clicking the icon, a slider will show up on your screen. Adjust this slider to the number of lattices you desire for conversion. Once set, hit the yellow button to initiate the conversion process.
Of course, you’re limited to converting the amount of Lattice that’s available in your stockpile at the moment. To acquire more Lattice for conversion into Units, simply tap on the icon shaped like a yellow coin located in the upper-right corner of the main menu.
This leads you to the Lattice page, where you have the option to buy single units of Lattice or bigger packages at a higher cost.
