As a seasoned gamer and avid Marvel fan, I’ve had my fair share of battles with the mighty Storm. Her abilities are as captivating as her character, making her a delight to play and a formidable opponent.

In the game of Marvel Rivals, Storm is categorized as a ranged Duelist hero, however, her true nature aligns more closely with the Strategist heroes as she primarily functions as a supportive character.

As a Storm character, your primary role is to support your team by dealing damage, taking down enemies, and most importantly, helping to shift the momentum in team fights.

In this article titled “Storm Guide from Marvel Rivals,” we’ll go over her powers, provide useful tips, and assist you in ruling the battlefield with ease.

Storm Abilities

Storm’s challenge level in Marvel Rivals is rated as three out of five stars, indicating a moderate difficulty. However, it’s important to note that while this isn’t overly difficult for experienced players, Storm might not be suitable for beginners.

Soaring over a battlefield might seem thrilling, but it exposes you as an easy target for the game’s top long-range fighters. However, by employing strategic placement and clever tactics, you can become an indispensable team member capable of surviving even the fiercest skirmishes.

Let’s start by going over her abilities.

Cooldown: 20 seconds.

Storm Offensive Strategies

Mastering Storm’s gameplay involves understanding when to use her primary skill, Tornado, and when to unleash Thunder, as these are the crucial elements she has for controlling weather.

Your impact on the fight won’t be visible on the kill counts but on how often you assist your allies.

With that in mind, here are some helpful tips when playing offensively with Storm:

  • Play vertically to find the proper vantage point to attack enemies while buffing your allies.
  • If your Team-Up Ability is live, you have impressive burst damage abilities. Use them wisely; you can surprise people and kill them quicker than you realize, especially if you’re boosting your own damage.
  • Since kill stealing isn’t a thing in Marvel Rivals, use that to your advantage. You excel at picking off retreating enemies.

Storm Defensive Strategies

As a gamer, I always make sure my support character stays in the game, contributing to our team’s success. It feels awesome when our strategies pay off and we win. But sometimes, survival comes first – if I find myself in a tricky situation, I prioritize getting out of there alive so I can keep fighting another day.

You can’t buff your allies if you’re dead. Here’s how you can live as long as possible.

  • Just because you can fly high in the sky doesn’t mean you should. Not only do you run the risk of being out of range of your team, but you can easily get picked off by enemy Duelists.
  • Keep tabs on your HUD to see how many allies are being buffed. Being near them is helpful even if you’re not actively participating in a team fight.
  • Without the Tornado movement buff, you move slower than you may realize. Know when to have it active and use it to stay out of harm’s way.

Storm Team-Up Abilities

Team-Up Heroes Needed Description
Charged Gale Thor Team-Up Ability. Thor infuses Thorforce into Storm and Captain America, granting them an electrifying enhancement. With an electrifying enhancement, Storm can unleash a lightning barrage. With an electrifying enhancement, Captain America gains a Movement Boost, and his shield is imbued with thunder power, electrocuting nearby enemies. Deals 50 damage with up to 3 bounces. Cooldown: 20 seconds.

As a devoted player, I must admit that this feature might appear insignificant at first glance, but it offers an additional instant cast ability that can ricochet to adjacent foes. It’s incredibly potent for dispatching weakened enemies or setting them up as prime targets for my fellow Duelists.

As a Duelist utilizing Storm, accumulate the impact of these effects gradually. Whether it’s dealing the final blows against weak opponents or preparing them for your decisive attacks, make sure to employ Charged Gale frequently.

Storm Counters & How to Deal with Them

As a gamer, I can’t just keep grounded in Storm’s world all the time. That’d be asking for trouble because I’ll eventually get taken down from above by the likes of Hawkeye, Black Widow, The Punisher, and even Hela.

You’re not particularly strong in dealing high damage either, so characters such as Iron Fist or Psylocke may outperform you.

Thankfully, by being able to fly, you can stay out of harm’s way from dangerous Vanguards.

Best Team Comps With Storm

Thor is an obvious choice to unlock your Team-Up Ability.

As a gamer, I’d say characters like Psylocke or other agile assassins can handle enemy snipers in the air, ensuring smooth traversal for me across the skies.

Champions such as the powerful and attention-grabbing ones like Venom or Hulk, along with strategic healers like Mantis, make excellent choices.

Because you’re boosting everyone else’s attack power, you’ll become every Duelist’s cherished ally. While Psylocke can harass enemies from afar, characters like Black Panther and Iron Fist might not make ideal teammates since they often operate beyond your buff zone.

Stick with Hela, The Punisher, Hawkeye, Black Widow, or honestly, anyone that is a ranged DPS.
