Should You Surrender During a Match of Marvel Rivals?
Marvel Rivals is a team-oriented game about completing objectives, not racking up kills.
Achieving success often hinges on collaboration and unity. However, there are factors that may impede these elements.
At times, individuals may act out of self-interest alone or prioritize their needs above others. In other instances, there can be a lack of connection that puts you at a significant disadvantage.
Regardless of the cause, there may be situations when it’s more advantageous for everyone involved to call off their Marvel Rivals game and part ways. Fortunately, there is a method for doing so.
How to Surrender During a Match of Marvel Rivals
In the heat of a Marvel Rivals game, you have the option to access the built-in control panel. On a computer, this is typically triggered by pressing the ESC key.
From the given menu, you’ll notice an additional option – a ‘surrender’ button. By clicking this, you initiate a vote on surrendering the game. For the vote to succeed, it must be agreed upon by everyone involved. If it does, the game concludes with your team forfeiting; consequently, each player will suffer a loss in their rank points.

In simpler terms, you’re not allowed to give up a game (match) before the initial round has ended. Attempting to call for a surrender will result in a message informing you that you must first complete the first round.

Should You Surrender During a Match of Marvel Rivals?
In team games, giving up might spark controversy. Even if the situation appears unfavorable, it doesn’t automatically mean the game is over.
The opposing side might grow too confident, leaving vulnerable spots for us to strike back. Meanwhile, our team can unite, face challenges head-on, and mount a comeback.
In certain situations, giving up could be the optimal choice. If your team consensus suggests they are prepared to progress, it is wise to yield at that point. When everyone seems disengaged, it makes no sense to prolong the struggle and waste everyone’s effort.
Moreover, it’s not beneficial to invest your time if team members aren’t following a balanced composition. Having six top-tier duelists won’t make a difference if there’s no one to play as a tank or a support/healer. You’ll all perish before you can inflict significant damage.
