Marvel Rivals Leak Reveals Data About Loot Boxes

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia when I hear about the potential return of loot boxes in Marvel Rivals. Back in the day, I remember spending countless hours grinding for those elusive rare skins and emotes, only to come up empty-handed more times than I care to admit.

A prominent Marvel Rivals leaker has revealed some details about loot boxes that were seemingly removed from the game.

According to information shared by RivalsLeaks (previously known as Twitter), The Gamer has uncovered details about Marvel Rivals’ abandoned loot boxes. These boxes were set to include various rarities like animations, icons, and more. The loot boxes would have been categorized into five tiers: Gray, Blue, Purple, Yellow, and Red. The Gray tier was expected to be the most common, offering a possible color variant of a character’s skin. On the other hand, the Red tier would have been the rarest, housing all the premium cosmetic items.

To get these loot boxes, players need to change Lattice and Units into Crystallization (the main currency) and Marscoin (the blue currency). With these, they can draw for skins. In addition to a new skin, these boxes could also contain rewards such as emotes, player cards, sprays, and other items. The leaked files suggest that the loot box system is limited in time and may be linked to a special event.

Despite RivalsLeaks stating their findings about Marvel Rivals loot boxes could be inaccurate, as they’re based on information gathered from files. In the same discussion, the initial poster mentioned that they were informed the loot boxes “might not be worth anything, but there’s a chance they could be added at some point in the future”.
