Marvel Rivals has been dominating the multiplayer shooter spirit since its launch a month ago, captivating fans with its extensive 33-character roster at debut and compelling third-person gameplay. A single match in Marvel Rivals saw two Bruce Banner characters engage in an intense 1v1 battle while the rest of the audience watched on.

Similar to D.Va from Overwatch who transforms into a powerful mech, the character Hulk in Marvel Rivals undergoes two phases: players initially appear as Bruce Banner, the scientist, and must intentionally transform into the Hulk to access his strong abilities. Upon being defeated, Hulk reverts back to Bruce Banner, who can transform again if he manages to survive. The basic abilities of Bruce Banner are rather straightforward since the character is primarily intended to be used in Hulk form. His Gamma Ray Gun and Gamma Grenade are his only available tools.

On Twitter, Marvel Rivals Media spotlighted a 1v1 battle video shared by Imaginary Priority featuring two Hulks – Zettarin and Zombieplayer94. The 30-second clip showcased each team making room for the Hulks to duel at a capture point. Hawkeye’s arrow signaled the start of the fight, and both Hulks orbited around a cube in the center of the point before exchanging Gamma Ray blasts and grenades. With their health dangerously low, Zombieplayer94 landed the decisive melee attack. However, Winter Soldier, Zettarin’s teammate, swiftly retaliated, defeating Zombieplayer with a powerful uppercut, prompting both teams to rejoin the fray.

Marvel Rivals Bruce Banner Players Go At It In 1v1 Brawl

In a one-on-one fight, it’s logical to choose Bruce Banner, as many online duels emphasize minimal weapon usage; in the entire game, non-Hulk Banner has the least equipment. A more intriguing twist could be allowing both Banners to transform into Hulk or use their special ability, Monster Hulk. Given numerous melee-focused heroes such as Captain America, Black Panther, Iron Fist, Wolverine, and others, it wouldn’t be unexpected to witness a rise in 1v1 brawls with these characters.

Despite boasting a roster of 33 playable characters, Marvel Rivals has plenty more surprises in store for fans, as its first season kicks off on January 10th. The debut season of Marvel Rivals will introduce the Fantastic Four, comprising Mister Fantastic, The Thing, Invisible Woman, and Human Torch. Fans can look forward to engaging in one-on-one battles with these characters, as The Thing and Mister Fantastic are sure to bring exciting gameplay due to their unique powers.
