Marvel Rivals Season 1 Begins January 10th at 1:00 AM PST

Despite Marvel Rivals achieving great success, it’s astonishing that we’re only starting Season 1, which kicks off on January 10th with the premiere of Eternal Night Falls at 1:00 AM Pacific Standard Time (PST). This marks the beginning of a new era!

Ever since its debut in December, Marvel Rivals has attracted more than 20 million gamers to experience the team-based hero shooter. To mark the game’s triumph, NetEase has dished out various rewards for players, but they’re eagerly awaiting fresh gameplay updates. Excitingly, we now have confirmation that these updates will be rolled out later this week. Additionally, there’ll be a more detailed exploration of the game’s narrative background.

Here’s an official story description for Season 1 for Marvel Rivals.

In New York, a mysterious event known as the Timestream Entanglement traps Doctor Strange within the Tangled Astral Realm, scattering the Darkhold books across the city. Simultaneously, Dracula and Doctor Doom manipulate the moon’s trajectory, causing everlasting night to descend upon the metropolis, unleashing hordes of vampire beasts. As the world teeters on the edge of destruction, the Fantastic Four unite with legendary Marvel superheroes in a heroic struggle to combat this mystical darkness using science. Join the Fantastic Four and ignite the battle against Dracula in the thrilling Marvel Rivals game!

What to Expect Gameplay Wise in Marvel Rivals Season 1

We’ll get some substantial gameplay changes with a new season of Marvel Rivals.

To date, it has only been confirmed that The Fantastic Four will be playable characters. As of now, their specific roles have yet to be revealed, but they’re anticipated to encompass a blend of Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist positions. It’s possible that Johnny Storm may function as a Duelist, Sue Storm could act as a Strategist, The Thing appears suited for a Vanguard role, and Mr. Fantastic might surprise us by adopting diverse roles.

On January 7th, during our Season 1 launch event on Tuesday, we’ll delve deeper into the backstories of two specific characters. Emiru and xQc, along with other streamers, will present a two-hour live gameplay featuring Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman. Whether or not Human Torch and The Thing will be showcased this week or become available later in the season remains to be seen.

Apart from the planned content enhancements, it’s anticipated that Season 1 of Marvel Rivals will unveil a fresh map and adjust hero balances.

Due to the balanced power they exhibit in various gameplay aspects, you might notice adjustments to reduce the effectiveness of characters like Hela, Hawkeye, and Luna Storm. On the other hand, some characters such as Storm and Black Widow are currently underpowered and could benefit from enhancements or boosts.

As an enthusiastic supporter of Marvel Rivals, I can’t wait to share the details once I have the complete rundown on the changes and fixes coming with Season 1!
