Marvel Snap's Move Deck Stocks Just Went Way Up Thanks to its New Addition

As a seasoned Marvel Snap player who’s been through my fair share of decks, I can confidently say that Arana has been a game-changer for the Move deck! After struggling with its inconsistency for quite some time, this new addition has finally given Move the boost it needed.

In the game of Marvel Snap, similar to other deck builders, you’re given various character archetypes to select from. However, due to the unique way this game advances, these deck archetypes become accessible at varying speeds. One of the initial decks that players can start crafting in Marvel Snap is called Move.

Interestingly enough, Move turns out to be quite unpredictable, even more so than some of Marvel Snap’s top early decks. Unlike them, Move tends to be unreliable and frequently fails to deliver as expected. This inconsistency can be attributed to several unfortunate circumstances, but it seems that Move might have found its groove with the introduction of a new Activate Card.

Arana May Change the Game For Marvel Snap’s Move Deck

Move Could Never Live Up to Marvel Snap’s Best Decks

In Marvel Snap, there are numerous playable deck options, but it doesn’t mean every strategy is equally potent. For instance, the Destroy deck stands out as one of the easiest to triumph with across the game. The Destroy deck boasts several straightforward win conditions, courtesy of strong cards such as Deadpool and Death, which can often be acquired comparatively early in the game.

There are a few things to look out for in any strong deck, but consistency is key above all else. Card draw can be unpredictable, and a linear deck can be easily countered. Of course, thanks to Marvel Snap‘s titular mechanic, concealing one’s hand is that much more important. A deck needs to be able to play its most important cards, reliably scale them up, and top the game off with a devastating finisher. Finally, all this needs to be done not only with consistency, but without giving away a game-winning strategy.

Unfortunately, Move generally goes against most of these guidelines. However, it doesn’t mean that Move is completely useless as some players have found ways to make it work. Characters like The Human Torch and Multiple Man in Move play a role similar to Deadpool in Destroy, but due to its numerous issues, these characters can’t fully shine in Move. Fortunately, one of Marvel Snap’s new characters has turned this issue upside down.

Arana Proves that Activate is a Game-Changer for Marvel Snap’s Move Deck

Recently, Arana joined Marvel Snap as a new card during The Amazing Spider-Season. She’s one of the initial cards with an Activate ability, making her quite intriguing for players. While her ability might appear straightforward initially, its impact on the Move archetype has shown that Arana’s power lives up to expectations.

In its current form, Arana’s card description is: “The next card you play gets +2 Power and moves to the right.” Similar to all Marvel Snap cards with the new Activate mechanic, players cannot fully utilize Arana’s power on the turn she is played. This makes Arana less effective on the final turn, but her ability to delay activation and strategically choose a card for synergy more than compensates for this. Cards like Human Torch not only benefit from her boost, but also utilize her movement to enhance their own potential.

Marvel Snap Has Made Moves to Improve Many Underrated Decks

As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share my excitement about the duo of Arana and Madame Web in the Marvel Snap’s Move deck! Madame Web, with her Ongoing ability, allows one card to move each turn. Arana, on the other hand, has proven to be Move’s most powerful boost yet. Together, they create an engine that’s truly unique for this deck. It’s clear that developers are making a concerted effort to enhance Move, and it’s working!

As a gamer, I’ve discovered that Arana is an exceptional card on her own merit, demonstrating effectiveness even beyond the Move archetype. Already, fellow gamers have been dabbling with Arana in KaZoo and Destroy Decks, validating her versatility. While she might find a niche elsewhere, Arana truly shines when paired with Marvel Snap’s top-tier Move decks, providing a more robust route to victory.
