Okay, so I’m super hyped for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls – it’s made by the same folks who do Guilty Gear, so you know it’s gonna be good. They just announced two more characters joining the fight at launch: Savage Hulk and Shuri’s Black Panther! That brings the starting roster up to a solid 20 characters. The game is finally dropping this August, and I can’t wait!
The latest trailer for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls reveals gameplay footage of both Savage Hulk and Black Panther. Hulk earned the “Savage” title after S.H.I.E.L.D. banished him to the Savage Land, worried about his immense strength and unpredictable nature. He now wears armor made of dinosaur bones and fights with powerful, deliberate attacks. During battles, a special meter fills up, letting Savage Hulk unleash incredibly strong, instant-win moves.
Shuri’s Black Panther is quicker and more nimble than Hulk. Having recently become Black Panther and queen of Wakanda, she’s a new addition to the role. Plus, she’s equipped with the Spear of Bashenga, allowing her to launch strong attacks from a distance.

A powerful new threat, the Champion, is endangering Earth! The Fighting Avengers – Captain America and Iron Man alongside new members Shuri as the Black Panther and a particularly enraged Hulk – are the latest heroes stepping up to defend the planet. Shuri brings her unique, fast-paced fighting style and advanced Wakandan technology, while Hulk is ready to unleash his incredible power on anyone who stands in their way.
Arc System Works announced pre-order information for the game back in February, which you can find here. Earlier gameplay videos highlighted the game’s interesting team-based features and its signature fast-paced action.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC starting August 6, 2026. An Xbox version hasn’t been announced yet, but it’s expected to follow a few months later. You can check out the trailer featuring the Hulk and Black Panther below.
