As a longtime fan of Wolverine and someone who has followed his adventures for decades, I have to say that the classic blue and yellow suit is the one that instantly comes to mind when I think of him. The memories of watching the animated X-Men series during my childhood are still fresh in my mind, and seeing Wolverine leap into action in that iconic outfit left a lasting impression on me.

Fans eagerly anticipating the next adventure of Deadpool and Wolverine might be yearning for more encounters with their beloved X-Man sporting a mustelid theme. In more casual language, the swimsuits serve little purpose except during scenes where characters relax in a hot tub or recover from fights. These outfits often appear insignificant to the characters, and this holds true for Wolverine’s selections as well.

While the hues align with the brand, there’s not much else appealing to Logan about those swimsuits. Swim trunks and briefs seem insincere to him, yet they still perform their function in the game, albeit of minimal significance.

Let’s face it, Logan isn’t really into reading books, he openly admits that in the game. The remainder of his outfit is just a standard pair of jeans and boots. In “Midnight Suns,” there’s some reuse of assets, which doesn’t make things easier for Logan’s outfit.

When I look at this Abbey outfit without considering how it compares to the others, I can’t help but feel that it falls short in terms of coolness, friendliness, and authenticity. Yet, interestingly enough, maybe that’s exactly what makes it special, doesn’t it?

In the game “Midnight Suns,” Deadpool sports an outfit called “Xcessive Force” that pays homage to his past involvement with X-Force. Yet, this getup doesn’t fully capture the elements of style, history, and truthfulness that we expect from Deadpool’s attire. For instance, is it realistic to imagine Wolverine wearing a form-fitting muscle shirt for training or relaxation? Unlikely.

As a gamer, I’ve noticed this issue before: the repetition of assets in the game making it hard to distinguish one character from another. In this case, it’s Wolverine who suffers from this problem. Instead of seeing unique details that make him stand out, all I get are plain black pants and standard black boots. The only thing setting him apart is the X logo on his chest and a mention of X-Force. It’s not terrible, but it definitely lacks the depth and uniqueness that I’d expect from such an iconic character.

Having an outfit in this theme is a neat homage, and reminder that Logan can be soft from time to time.

Certainly, the uniqueness lies solely in that place; Logans likely not the one who’d choose such an ensemble. Furthermore, it lacks the cool factor as well. Yet, everyone can’t always get it right.

8 Classic Wolverine (Abbey)

In Midnight Suns, Wolverine’s classic outfit is reimagined with a yellow and blue color scheme similar to his traditional attire, but tailored to the muscle shirt style that every character in the game can adopt.

In simpler terms, the distinct color combination sets it apart, yet the entire ensemble seems rather ordinary to me. It’s an acceptable choice, however, Logan could make more compelling selections for himself. Furthermore, the combination of a belt and jeans with a workout shirt appears unusual.

In simpler terms, this Wolverine Max storyline strongly relates to the “Long Road” narrative. Here, Logan endeavors to change his ways, leaving behind violence and embracing a more heroic role. This transformation isn’t an easy or joyful process, but what personal growth is?
