Based on a recent interview with Insomniac, there’s a possibility that Marvel’s Wolverine might launch as early as 2025, but it could also be later than that.
In an interview with Variety (through IGN), the new leaders of Insomniac, Ryan Schneider, Chad Dezern, and Jen Huang, were asked about the release schedule for Marvel’s Wolverine in 2025. While Dezern didn’t give a definitive answer regarding the release window, he expressed enthusiasm about discussing Wolverine as the title has already been announced. However, they are keeping tight-lipped, similar to Logan, waiting for the right moment to reveal more details about the project in the future.
In simpler terms, Dezern mentioned that they must keep their anticipation for Marvel’s Wolverine in check, and could only discuss their future projects during the discussion. The announcement of Marvel’s Wolverine was made at a PlayStation Showcase in 2021, showcasing the character’s well-known claws. Since then, there have been no formal updates on the game; however, many details have emerged through leaks.
During the same conversation, representatives from Insomniac Games showed enthusiasm for “bringing video games to live-action films.” Ryan Schneider discussed the Ratchet & Clank movie and mentioned they had a head start on its production. Schneider further stated that such projects appeal to them, and the team has a special fondness for Ratchet & Clank.
