In a world reshaped by enigmatic meteor showers and the strange Fragments they left behind, the isometric turn-based puzzle game “Emptiness Sire” immerses players. These mysterious Fragments possess potential dangers, altering the world permanently. To reclaim peace, three distinct heroes wield unique weapons to combat the obstacles hindering them. Hailing from Brazil’s Oaks Games Studio and showcased by Abragames at Gamescom LATAM 2025, “Emptiness Sire” invites players to strategically vanquish cosmic adversaries by skillfully coordinating each of its three character classes.

The game titled “Emptiness Sire” draws inspiration from games that masterfully combine puzzles, isometric design, and turn-based combat, such as “Hitman Go” and “Lara Croft Go“. The setting is a chilling and ominous one, reminiscent of the cosmic horror portrayed in HP Lovecraft’s works. However, the art style contrasts this with darker backgrounds juxtaposed against brightly colored characters, much like “Hades“. Despite encounters with increasingly challenging enemies that are both fearsome and formidable, players can confront them using a mix of three distinct characters, switching between them to leverage their unique combat abilities. Solving each puzzle in “Emptiness Sire” requires strategic decision-making about when to use which character and when to switch to another.

The Knight: A Dreamer With A Sword

In one corner, we find the first category of Master Void’s teachings: the valiant Knight. This noble figure is born and bred in a humble village nestled deep within an old forest. His upbringing was filled with artifacts, tales, and ancestral customs. The Knight harbors a longing for the world as it once stood before the arrival of the Shards. Yet, his yearning transcends mere storytelling; he seeks to actively participate in restoring the world to its former glory.

Following an assault on his village, the Knight picked up the ancient blade of his kin and embarked on a trip, emerging as a beacon of optimism for those nearby. As a combatant specializing in close-quarters fighting, the Knight wields his sword to inflict significant harm upon enemies directly before him.

The Explorer: A Survivor With A Flute

Instead of the Knight, who was raised amidst a community, the Explorer was a lone expert on survival born among a group hiding within extensive caverns. Living in harsh conditions and always having to struggle for survival, the Explorer swiftly transformed into a solitary and cautious individual who instinctively perceived danger lurking everywhere.

As she ventured through her surroundings and delved further into the secrets of an ancient era, our Heroine stumbled upon a nearly extinct craft: the art of making music. One fateful day, she unearthed a flute that could render even the mightiest beasts unconscious when played. Equipped with her enchanted flute in combat, the Heroine is a swift character who can navigate the tactical battlefield and harness the power of melodies to halt adversaries in their tracks.

The Guardian: A Protector With A Gauntlet

The third playable character, known as the Guardian, hails from a civilization deeply committed to uncovering and reviving artifacts from an advanced ancient culture. Instead of yielding to the effects of the Fragments, their society focused on recovery and restoration, managing to produce numerous battle-ready items, among them the sacred gauntlet that is the Guardian’s weapon of choice.

To assume the role of a Guardian, she relinquished her dominant arm and fitted it with an armored gauntlet instead. In combat, she can wield this gauntlet to establish a protective barrier around herself, repelling enemy attacks. Furthermore, these barriers linger even when she’s substituted out, safeguarding other characters as well. Clad in complete armor, choosing the Guardian enables Emptiness Sire gamers to withstand assaults from formidable adversaries.
