The new downloadable content (DLC) levels for Astro Bot are turning out to be noticeably harder than the initial ones. One particularly tricky course is Thrust or Bust, which stands among the most challenging in the game. Therefore, players aiming to conquer its many obstacles and save the VIP bot at the end should definitely bring their top skills to the table.
In essence, as the title implies, Thrust or Bust involves players leveraging the canine power-up to traverse a remarkably tough obstacle course. This guide aims to highlight some potential stumbling blocks, along with sharing information about the Thrust or Bust Cameo Bot that Astro Bot players will receive upon conquering them.
How to Complete Thrust or Bust
Initially, players should propel themselves towards the two foe resembling bells. This action will set off the enemies that look like sea urchins to move. If they act swiftly, players can immediately dash into the blue canine panel once the second bell is vanquished. At the top, there’s an enemy with a yellow spiky exterior, but it’s relatively simple to evade. Players have the option to punch it or simply circumnavigate it.

Shortly after, players will encounter two rotating logs. On the first one, there’s a large purple creature spitting things out. Instead of attempting to leap from one log to another, players should head directly from the first log to the yellow dog symbol, making sure to attack the purple spitter en route. Following this, they’ll find a blue trampoline pad. By using this and the dog power-up, they can bounce their way to the nearby leaf platform.

Instead of attempting a risky leap over the whirling green vines, I’d recommend players simply sprint to their left side and traverse around the platform. By maintaining their momentum, they can successfully evade the spitter. This strategy will then allow them to reach the adjacent glass platform, from where they can propel themselves into the wall’s tunnel, taking care to dodge those pesky spinning purple vines.

In the upcoming scene, you’ll encounter an enemy that spits green, but don’t worry! You can simply circumnavigate it and accelerate towards the blue dog symbol instead. Afterward, navigate cautiously through several glass panels while dodging spinning vine obstacles. Be prepared to dodge some small, explosive enemies on the second glass panel. To avoid their blasts, do a spin jump once you’ve passed the vines.

Following the evasion of two spiky, yellow adversaries appearing in the upcoming area, players should leap onto the blue trampoline platform and propel forward towards the bell. This will enable them to reach another bounce pad. Upon arrival, they must propel themselves into the facing blue dog panel, with the direction depending on their timing thus far. However, they’ll have a brief moment to decide whether to go left or right, making this maneuver less challenging.

In the upcoming segment, players will encounter sea urchin-sized adversaries that soar through the air. To avoid these foes, players should leap from platforms on one side to another. Once they do, they’ll find a blue bounce pad, which they can use to reach floating green platforms adorned with bells. Players can choose to dodge or boost towards the first two bells, but it’s mandatory to boost into the last bell to reveal the final platform.
Thrust or Bust Cameo Bot
After completing the course, participants will gain access to the “Fairytale Hero Cameo Bot,” a character modeled after another famous figure from a renowned PlayStation game. Subsequently, by venturing to the Gatcha Lab at the Crash Site, they can acquire the Wind-Powered Tower item to finalize the appearance of the VIP Bot. As in the Tick-Tock Shock DLC stage previously, there is only one Cameo Bot available in Thrust or Bust.
