Master the Force: Unlock the Devastated Settlement's Secrets in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor!

In Chapter 2 of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Cal is assigned to explore Tanalorr on Koboh and the Shattered Moon. Yet, he faces difficult riddles within the wrecked township, which indeed leave him disheartened. However, this guide offers quick resolutions for all three orb puzzles in this area, enabling Star Wars Jedi: Survivor players to finish the mission efficiently.

How to Get to the Devastated Settlement

From the vantage point at the Riverbed Watch meditation spot, make your way to the fort’s left side and head towards the Igneous Crack. Your mount should take you there into the Desolated Village, a region characterized by lava fields and numerous mud volcanoes scattered about. In this location, Cal will encounter Caij, the bounty puck dealer, before being presented with orb puzzles. (This encounter is depicted through a brief cutscene.)

How to Use Couplers

Activate couplers with orbs. They stay inactive until the player places an orb in them. Orbs are typically found near the couplers, though some may require solving a puzzle. Once an orb is located, use the Force to move it and throw it at the coupler to activate the device.
Use Koboh Tuner Beams to dissolve Koboh Matter. Active couplers emit a purple light called a Koboh Tuner Beam. Aiming this at Koboh Matter—the dark particles blocking paths—will remove it, opening up new areas.

Coupler #1 Devastated Settlement Puzzle Solution

Beginning at the meditative site of the Ruined Settlement, pull yourself up using the anchor on the left side, and ascend the rocky outcrop.

Jump on the platform on the right and get into the shrine-like room.

Inside, squeeze through the wall and Force pull the cube on top.

After that, proceed into the primary room and rotate the fan-like device to maneuver the connector and incinerate the Koboh substance on the wall.

Next, make your way into the main chamber and twist the blade-like gadget so as to adjust the connector and combust the Koboh material adhered to the wall.

Again, squeeze through the wall and Force pull the orb that’s in the coupler.

Throw the orb into the opening in the wall and grab it from the other side.

Lastly, insert the sphere into the primary connector – near the focus for meditation – and align it towards the mud volcano situated opposite the cliff.

Coupler #2 Devastated Settlement Puzzle Solution

Once you’ve opened the initial mud volcano, make your way to the meditation spot near the Ruined Settlement on horseback. Then, leverage the wind current to soar to the adjacent cliff on the right side.

Squeeze through the wall crack and jump into the room where two Goroccos are waiting for Cal.

After beating the enemies, Force pull the cracked rocks on the wall to open the secret coupler.

Next, grab the orb from the amplifier on the right and put it into the coupler Cal just unlocked.

Unlocking the golden door set into the wall will grant Cal access to the Koboh Grinder skill for BD-1.

After learning how, apply some Koboh Matter to the walls, which will cause a purple light to shine on any dark materials on the walls.

Leave this room and do the same for the black substances on the main hall’s walls.

Grapple to the hook that emerges from the black substances and climb the platform.

Finally, place the orb in the main coupler and unclog the second mud volcano for more updraft.

To solve the last water-themed puzzle at the ruined settlement, make your way on the Relter to the edge of the lava flow where a cascading waterfall becomes visible.
