As a gamer diving into the whimsical world of Hello Kitty Island Adventure, I can’t wait to eventually uncover the secret of the Net! This magical tool lets you scoop up all sorts of adorable island creatures, including the elusive Rockadoodlers on Gemstone Mountain. Catching these speedy critters is essential for wrapping up the story quest “Rockadoodler Roundup.” You’ll find them darting around a specific area on this mountainous playground.
Thankfully, the creators of Island Adventure have thoughtfully included strategies to make capturing critters less of a chore and more fun!
Rockadoodler Roundup Walkthrough
How to Unlock Rockadoodler Roundup Story Quest
To initiate “Rockadoodler Roundup,” you require a friendship level of eight with Pekkle and have accomplished the main quest called “Bring Back the Swing.” You can boost your relationship with Pekkle by presenting him with three gifts daily, but it seems like you’re just getting started in the game “Hello Kitty Island Adventure,” so you probably don’t possess the crafting plans to create the three-heart gift for Pekkle yet.
Instead, create the “Piled Rocks,” as they need 3 times “Tranquil Gems” for construction. To acquire the blueprint for this, you should head to the beach area near the dock at the Gemstone Mountain shore.
- Calming Crystals are resources that are located in the Gemstone Mines (in the room with the large lake). Stacked Stones are a 2-heart gift for Pekkle.
After reaching level 8, Pekkle will request that you populate the Corral on Gemstone Mountain with six Rockadoodlers. You can capture these creatures using a Net, which becomes available once you initiate the “Open the Nature Preserve” quest upon achieving level 2 friendship with Keroppi.
There are several things to keep in mind when hunting rockadoodlers:
- Rockadoodlers only appear from morning to day; you won’t find any at night. You can change the time by resting until morning in your cabin (requires Bed).
- Rockadoodlers only spawn in Gemstone Town. There’s a fast-travel mailbox in Gemstone Town, so you can just keep warping to it if you’re not seeing any rockadoodlers.
- You should equip clothing that makes it easier to catch critters, such as the Forest Critter Catcher outfit. You should also have Keroppi as your traveling companion.
As a devoted fan, I can share this exciting tidbit: Reaching level 6 with Keroppi grants him the extraordinary “Critter Calmer” ability. This talent proves invaluable as he joins you on your adventures, causing critters to meander at a leisurely pace. This is particularly useful when pursuing the swift rockadoodlers!
If you’ve gathered 6 rockadoodlers, head back to Pekkle at the Corral and hand them over to him as a token. This action will finish the “Rockadoodler Roundup” quest and open up the Rockadoodler Roundup Mini-game.
Where to Find Forest Critter Catcher Outfit
Locations in Spooky Swamp
In Island Adventure, you can instantly acquire the Hat, Vest, and Pants that make up the Forest Critter Catcher outfit without needing to wait for any in-game occurrences. It’s okay if you don’t possess all three items when the “Rockadoodler Roundup” event takes place; just wear whatever pieces you currently have on.
The Forest Creature Capturer gear set can be found within the hauntingly beautiful Spooky Swamp. To locate its individual components, follow these instructions (and don’t forget to check out the images above for precise positions):
– Forest Critter Catcher Hat: Near the entrance of the swamp, on a fallen tree with glowing mushrooms nearby.
– Forest Critter Catcher Vest: Deep within the swamp, hanging from a gnarled tree branch over a small pond teeming with slimy critters.
– Forest Critter Catcher Pants: Perched atop a mossy log in the heart of the swamp, next to a towering cypress tree.
– Forest Critter Catcher Boots: On a small wooden platform surrounded by lily pads, close to a hidden cave entrance.
- Forest Critter Catcher Hat: In a chest outside the southern wall of the Hedge Maze in Spooky Swamp.
- Forest Critter Catcher Pants: On the western shore of Spooky Swamp, hidden among some palm trees right before the second bridge.
- Forest Critter Catcher Vest: Looted from a chest in the Volcano Critter Room at the Nature Preserve.
Rockadoodler Roundup Minigame
How to Unlock An Egg-cellent Pan Quest
After wrapping up the “Rockadoodler Roundup,” I popped by to chat with Pekkle once more, initiating the lively Rockadoodler Roundup Minigame. This delightful game requires 1x Game Ticket, which Pekkle generously provides. Alternatively, you can discover these tickets scattered around Resort Plaze in Seaside Resort!
In the mini-game, you are tasked with capturing as numerous rockadoodlers as possible within the time provided. These creatures will appear outside the pen, so if you confine your activities to that space, it’s almost guaranteed you’ll catch a few. The number of rockadoodlers you manage to catch will earn you Eggs as a prize. At present, this is the only method available for obtaining Eggs in the game ‘Island Adventure’.
You need to complete one round of Rockadoodler Roundup to start “An Egg-cellent Pan” story quest.
