Recently, Game Rant had an interview with the co-creators of ‘Robot Chicken’, Seth Green and Matthew Senreich. They shared that the initial success of the show took them by surprise, and over the years, their bond with the fan base has remained unchanged. Additionally, Senreich mentioned that a new group of younger writers contribute to maintaining the show’s freshness.
Robot Chicken Has Consistently Maintained a Strong Relationship With its Audience
Ever since its initial release, “Robot Chicken” has garnered six Emmy Awards and broadcast over 200 episodes. Neither Green nor Senreich ever expected such remarkable success for the series. They both attribute a significant part of its success to the close bond they’ve maintained with the show’s viewers, as Green put it.
From the onset, our bond with the audience has remained constant, and it was a shared passion that Matt and I embraced as we began creating the show. Initially, these were humorous concepts we believed would resonate among a specific community of paper aficionados. Many considered this material uncool. We were discussing topics that we were often ridiculed for liking during our high school days. Therefore, we never anticipated garnering over a million viewers in our debut season. We didn’t envision filling massive convention halls with fans of our show. Frankly, such growth was beyond our expectations. And now, it’s astonishing to see how geek culture has exploded!
Robot Chicken Remains Relevant Today

Green stated, “Promoting something only twice a year creates a stronger impact.” Consequently, they have chosen to concentrate on producing half-hour specials.
