Once you’ve finished the Great Mines and gotten the Teleporter Chip from Tokabi in Sol Valley in Metroid Prime 4, you’ll need to find six pieces to build a mech. Some players who’ve explored the desert extensively might already know where some of these parts are, but they can be hard to locate. This guide is for players who are having trouble finding all the mech parts in Metroid Prime 4; it details the location of each one.
Players can discover mech parts when they first arrive at Sol Valley, but they won’t be able to use them right away. First, they need to give Myles in Fury Green the Teleporter Chip and get Teleporter Patches.
Mech Part Locations in Metroid Prime 4
G.F. Debris #1
Just southeast of the Fury Green entrance, you’ll find a damaged area with a vehicle crashed into a building. Use your Psychic Lasso to move the vehicle, which will uncover a chest protector. Then, interact with the chest protector to attach a Teleporter Patch to it.
G.F. Debris #2

Go to the G.F. Debris area on the south side of the map, located between Volt Forge and Flare Pool. Find the mech part sitting on top of the building and interact with it to make it teleport.
G.F. Debris #3
On the far east side of Sol Valley, you’ll find a G.F. Debris site – it’s directly opposite the Fury Green entrance. Go to the blinking capsule there to start a battle with Varmis. To beat Varmis, ram Vi-O-La into the glowing orb on its tail. Then, switch to Morph Ball, go inside its mouth, and place a Power Bomb near the blinking capsule. Once the bomb explodes, you can collect the mech part by interacting with it.
G.F. Debris #4

At the G.F. Debris site in North Sol Valley, you’ll find a robotic arm connected to a building. Shoot it with a Thunder Shot to make it collapse, then interact with the fallen arm to send it to Myles.
Entrance to Ice Belt
There is a mech part near the entrance to Ice Belt, and here is how to reach it:
- Enter Ice Belt.
- Pass the elevator, and use Psychic Grapple in the corridor beyond it to reach an elevated path.
- Follow the path to reach an elevated area near the entrance to Ice Belt. The mech part is here.
Flare Pool
To get the last mech component, go to Flare Pool and find the area with the big lava pool. Go down the ramp leading towards the pool and use a Super Missile to break the large boulder at the bottom. Follow the newly opened path to the end, then scan the charged particle cannon on the ledge in the final room. Scanning it will start a fight with Behemoth. Once you defeat Behemoth, you can collect the mech part.
