As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled about the latest update for V Rising, dubbed “Invaders of Oakveil.” This exciting addition brings a plethora of free content straight to our doorstep! Weapons, a sprawling deep woodland biome, and, let’s not forget, more challenging V Blood bosses are now part of the game. These new bosses have already shown they won’t go down without a fight, living up to their reputation as formidable adversaries.
In the game V Rising, there is a significant increase in the number of boss characters, with the Oakveil update adding even more. Not every boss introduced by this update is reserved for endgame play, though. To ensure you’re ready for the upcoming battles, here are all the bosses that will be available to fight thanks to the Oakveil patch.
All Invaders of Oakveil Bosses in V Rising
In the latest update for “Invaders of Oakveil”, there are a total of seven bosses waiting for you. You’ll encounter these challenging adversaries right from when you step into the Dunley Farmlands. Remember, it’s crucial to enhance your equipment and fine-tune your playstyle before engaging in any boss battles.
Sir Erwin the Gallant Cavalier (Level 46)

- Location: Horse Racing Track (Western Dunley Farmlands)
- Unlocks: Cyclone, Ball Lightning, Discharge, Stables (and Stable decor)
Sir Erwin stands out among adversaries given that he is a genuine knight riding a horse. This makes him quite aggravating to confront if you’re purely focused on melee combat, as he moves around so swiftly. Maces and axes can manage to land some blows against Sir Erwin, but a ranged weapon such as a bow or crossbow would likely prove more effective in this battle.
Gaius the Cursed Champion (Level 55)

- Location: Colosseum (Northeast Dunley Farmlands)
- Unlocks: Bone Explosion, Corrupted Skull, Ward of the Damned, Arena station (and decor), Twinblades
Engaging the battle standard in the Colosseum within the farmlands will summon Gaius, a gladiator wielding Twinblades. Unlike Sir Erwin, he’s more manageable to defeat because you can provoke him towards the edge of the arena and then push him back into the miasma, causing him substantial harm.
Defeating Gaius grants access to the Arena Station, where players have the opportunity to engage other vampires in combat.
Stavros the Carver (Level 75)

- Location: Carver’s Logging Outpost (West Oakveil)
- Unlocks: Rain of Chaos, Void, Chaos Barrier, Advanced Sawmill, Purple Castle Teleporter, Weapon Coatings
Stavros proves to be a cunning adversary. His assaults often create persistent puddles of venom, which significantly complicate close-quarter fights. In this scenario, ranged attacks and spells are the best strategies for success, but a dash of patience is equally crucial.
Defeating Stavros enables you to apply Weapon Enhancements, granting the ability to infuse your upcoming weapon strike with a unique bonus effect.
Jakira the Shadow Huntress (Level 75)

- Location: Patrolling the roads of South Oakveil
- Unlocks: Curse, Mosquito, Mist Trance, Slashers, Elixir of the Twisted
Similar to Tristan and Jade, Jakira is often spotted traversing roads and vanquishing monsters, including you. She’s a cunning combatant with the ability to become invisible, making her rather frustrating in battle. However, damage-over-time effects from Chaos magic or spells that create harmful zones may expose her position.
Upon losing a game, players will gain access to crafting both the Slasher weapons and the Elixir of the Twisted recipe. The Elixir, when consumed, boosts spell critical chance and damage for an entire hour.
Lucile the Venom Alchemist

- Location: Venom Mixing Outpost (Central Oakveil)
- Unlocks: Carrion Swarm, Blood Fountain, Sanguine Coil, Blood Homogenizer, Stand with Flask and Burner
Lucile is a fighter who uses ranged attacks and summons Golems as allies. She’s quite agile and tends to move around frequently, making it tricky to catch her. However, with some persistence, you can land hits. A smart strategy would be to distract her by summoning undead minions, diverting her focus from you.
Using the Blood Homogenizer becomes available once you’ve defeated Lucile. This device allows you to blend the properties of two distinct Blood Potions together.
Dantos the Forgebinder

- Location: Venom Blades Bastion (Oakveil)
- Unlocks: Crystal Lance, Arctic Storm, Frost Barrier, Fusion Forge, Ember Glass
As a dedicated gamer, I must say, the battle against Dantos is quite intriguing! His moves might seem straightforward, but the arena where we clash is more than just a backdrop – it’s a formidable weapon he wields against me. Figuring out how his environmentally-infused attacks function takes some time, but once I manage to outsmart him and emerge victorious, I’m rewarded with one of the finest features this game has to offer!
With Fusion Forge, you can merge Ancestral Weapons or Gems together to craft stronger variants. This method enables you to design top-tier equipment tailored to your gameplay setup.
Megara the Serpent Queen

- Location: Venom Blades Bastion (Oakveil)
- Unlocks: Pedestal of the Serpent, Dracula’s Leggings (Shadow, Grim, Maleficer, and Dread variants)
In the update for “Invaders of Oakveil”, Megara serves as the primary antagonist. The battle against her is truly spectacular and demanding, pushing both your game setup and personal abilities to their limits within a spacious arena nestled in Venom Blades Bastion’s core. If you manage to best her, you will obtain the “Soul Shard of the Serpent”, provided no one else on the server has claimed it beforehand.
Soul Shards are incredibly potent artifacts, offering substantial stat enhancements and active abilities of great might. Normally, only one variant of each Soul Shard can be present simultaneously. If a player desires ownership of these shards, they may need to engage in combat with other players.
