This region is notable for being where Mega Evolution was initially presented in 2013. It appears that Nintendo intends to capitalize on this aspect of Kalos in their upcoming title within the “Legends ” series. In the latter part of March, CetroLeaks leaked approximately 27 new Mega Evolutions planned for “Pokemon Legends: Z-A“. Although Nintendo has not yet verified all these Pokemon, many fans are excitedly awaiting their revelation.

Currently, an image that’s been spreading online, initially on 4chan and then Reddit, allegedly depicts a potential mega-evolved version of Mega Feraligatr, the evolved form of Totodile’s Water-type starter from the Johto region, which is also rumored to be one of the starters in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. The image portrays a closed-eyed Feraligatr with an open jaw, and many distinct characteristics from its non-mega form are evident, such as its blue and yellow color scheme, pear-like body structure, single stripe chevron pattern on the belly, and spiked red dorsal ridge. However, this supposed mega evolution seems to feature additional red spikes and what looks like a red skull-like headgear on Feraligatr.

Some Pokemon enthusiasts are hesitant to accept this image as authentic, often comparing it to a particular Dragon-type Pokemon, specifically the Cave Dragon Pokemon, Druddigon, introduced in Generation 5. The intensely red coloration of this alleged Mega Feraligatr’s head covering seems to echo Druddigon, who sports a similar red color scheme but is most notably characterized by his solid red head that starkly contrasts the rest of his body. The leaked image suggests that the red part of this Pokemon’s head is actually a covering, revealing glimpses of its real blue and yellow features beneath it. Many fans have noticed elements from both Feraligatr and Druddigon in this image.

Some people believe that the latest Mega Evolution could be drawing ideas from Cubone’s distinctive habit of wearing its mother’s skull.
