Good news for players excited about *Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater*! Konami has announced that the online mode, called Fox Hunt, will launch on October 30th. After keeping details under wraps, Konami has now shared information about how Fox Hunt will work.
Konami originally announced in August 2025 that the Fox Hunt mode wouldn’t be included when Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater first came out, but said it would be added in the fall. Now, they’re delivering on that promise, and the mode is almost here.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater’s Fox Hunt Mode Release Time
The online multiplayer for *Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater*, called Fox Hunt, arrives October 29th at 6 PM Pacific Time. Players in most other regions will be able to join on October 30th. To play, you’ll need to update the game to the newest version. Keep in mind that Fox Hunt doesn’t allow players on different platforms (like PlayStation and PC) to play together.

Fox Hunt is a game mode for up to 12 players that takes inspiration from the Metal Gear series, focusing on stealth and staying alive. A new trailer showed off the AT-Camo, a device that lets players hide by blending in with their environment. Players can also use a tool called Naked Sense to scan for items and enemies, but using it drains stamina.

The game’s multiplayer will feature three different environments, including a jungle, and each match will randomly select from two different sets of rules. Importantly, Fox Hunt won’t have any purchases with real money; instead, any items you can unlock will likely be earned by playing the game – though it’s possible there won’t be any unlockable items at all.
Even though *Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater* had some initial problems and wasn’t perfect on all systems, it’s proven to be a hit. It quickly sold over a million copies, and the new Fox Hunt mode could significantly boost sales further. The game reached around 20,000 players at its peak on Steam, and it will be exciting to see if that number increases when Fox Hunt launches on October 30th.
