As a seasoned gamer with countless hours logged into various RPGs, I can confidently say that my latest adventure in Metaphor: ReFantazio has been nothing short of extraordinary. The introduction of the Masked Dancer Archetype, Junah’s unique ability, has added a new layer of excitement to my journey.

In this analogy, The Masked Dancer is likened to the character “ReFantazio” that Junah has within him. Players won’t be able to progress with this aspect until they advance to the next significant stage in the game. This guide offers insights on how players can recruit Junah as an ally and conquer the Kokasadors.

Following their arrival at Port Brilehaven, players will face a time limit to penetrate the Skyrunner, serving as the next pivotal storyline dungeon. Once they’ve navigated through the events within the Skyrunner Charadrius and vanquished its internal bosses, Junah will join their party as a fresh recruit. Subsequently, they’ll be assigned with the quest to discover the ancient relic known as Drakodias.

In the world of ReFantazio, players have the luxury to take their time with this side quest. They’re free to tackle other quests that involve managing time, and they can always revisit this one whenever it suits them best.

How To Unlock Masked Dancer Archetype In Metaphor: ReFantazio

After gaining access to Virga Island, seek out Junah near More’s Phantom and engage her in conversation. This interaction initiates the “Saving the Mourning Snakes” mission. Your task is to handle the monster causing havoc on the Orbwise Path. Successfully completing this quest will boost your Imagination level.

Follow the route to the Orbwise Path, situated close to Virga Island. Remember to prepare some meals in the Kitchen along the journey. Upon reaching your destination, you’ll discover a moderately-sized dungeon housing the Kokasadors boss. Defeat this boss, and Junah will join as an Ally, thereby granting access to the Masked Dancer Archetype.

Suggested team composition:

  • Protagonist – Wizard
  • Strohl – Commander/Sniper
  • Junah – Masked Dancer
  • Hulkenberg – Magic Knight

The Kokasadors is a level 42 Boss with relatively low health. This boss is vulnerable to Physical Pierce and Fire damage types, which means many Archetype types perform exceptionally well in this battle. It’s crucial for everyone in your team to have abilities that target the boss’s weaknesses. Aiming for eight attack turns in the initial round can help you significantly reduce the boss’s health. Some of Junah’s Fire Synthesis attacks can inflict massive damage, making them a strategic choice despite using two turns.

The manager intends to employ both “Mamudodyne” and “Blizzaton”. Ensure that none of your teammates are vulnerable to either “Dark” or “Ice” attacks, as extra turns from the boss could be lethal. After several rounds, the boss will focus on party members lacking a protective barrier and instantly defeat them in a single turn. This is the boss’s most perilous move, capable of eliminating your entire team in an instant.

To prevent this, you could employ the Commander’s “Marakukaja” Synthesis Skill, a ability that boosts the defense of all allies for the next three turns.

Once the boss has been dealt with, you will get:

  • 1350 EXP
  • 190 A-EXP
  • 1500 MAG
  • 2750 Money
  • Tower White Mask

In this game, The Masked Dancer Archetype represents the first exclusive character type to be unlocked. This is special because once you’ve unlocked it, you can create masks in the Special Experiments section at More’s Akademeia. Once crafted, these masks can be worn as accessories, granting new skills and altering affinities. You acquire the materials for crafting these masks by defeating enemies and bosses, or you can buy them from a merchant named Eugief in Port Brilehaven after purchasing the “Secret of the Eugief’s Stall” for 1,000 Reeve from the informant on Virga Island.

Choosing the Masked Dancer as an Archetype offers flexibility since you don’t need to unlock distinct Archetypes on individual characters. Instead, you create masks to gain their abilities. The Experience Points (A-EXP) earned by the Masked Dancer can eventually transform into a Hero’s Leaf of Light at Rank 20, which can then be utilized for leveling up other Archetypes.
