Metaphor: ReFantazio - The Incarnate In The Woods Bounty Guide

As an avid gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the final month of Metaphor: ReFantazio has been a thrilling rollercoaster ride. The Dread weather effect and the looming confrontation with Louis have certainly added a layer of tension to this game that I haven’t felt in a while.

In the concluding phase of “Metaphor: ReFantazio”, you are granted a whole month without charge, serving as a preparatory period before facing Louis in the ultimate battle. Additionally, a distinctive weather phenomenon called “Dread” sweeps across the game world during this time. It is crucial to strengthen your party and accomplish as many side quests as possible during this period, in order to optimize your readiness for the final encounter.

During this period, three fresh rewards will emerge, and the last one is titled “The Incarnate in the Woods.” This challenge will put you against Ordemos. Here’s a strategy for overcoming it.

How To Prepare For Ordemos In Metaphor: ReFantazio

  • Level 63
  • Bring an Archetype with dark spells, preferably from the Thief Lineage.
  • Shelter Formation is a useful defensive skill from the General.
  • Have at least two party members with defensive and offensive party-wide buffs.

The specific Archetypes you decide to utilize are entirely your call, given that Skill Inheritance enables you to shift dark magic and defensive boost skills onto any Archetype. Since this boss predominantly uses physical assaults, it’s crucial to ensure none of your Archetypes are vulnerable to such attacks. Although using the Berserker isn’t usually advised, their War Cry ability can be quite beneficial against this foe. Healing spells from the Healer Lineage will prove essential, as most strikes will affect the entire team due to the majority of attacks targeting multiple party members.

Utilizing the Price Archetype featuring Resist All can minimize the Protagonist’s impact in battle, since any damage sustained will be significantly mitigated. Additionally, it’s advisable to avoid employing attacks that inflict physical damage, as the boss will be immune to all of them.

Strive to utilize Catherine’s full potential prior to venturing into the dungeon, since her final perk as an ally might prove beneficial during this battle.

How To Beat Ordemos In Metaphor: ReFantazio

  • Slash
  • Pierce
  • Strike

In this combat, it’s advisable not to rely on physical attacks against Ordemos because it tends to withstand nearly all damage. Ordemos typically employs a skill called “Battle Breath“, which amplifies its attack and defense. To counteract these enhancements, you should either apply debuffs or boost your own abilities to offset their effects. While Ordemos doesn’t always use Battle Breath on every turn, it does so almost every other turn, sometimes consecutively. It also has the ability to invoke War Cry, which temporarily lowers the attack and defense of a single party member by one rank. The strategic use of buffs and debuffs is crucial in this battle, so make sure at least two of your party members are applying them on most turns, with periodic team-wide healing as well.

In general, Ordemos mainly employs attacks that affect the entire team. Aside from buffs, these assaults won’t cause significant harm if they are equal to or more powerful than your own buffs. However, he occasionally uses single-target fire and lightning attacks, but they are rare and usually don’t inflict a status condition. The primary concern, apart from buff management, is the move called Earsplitting Shriek, which can stun multiple party members. If anyone becomes stunned by this ability, try to cure them swiftly or focus on support spells until they recover from the effect.
