Mewgenics Players Want Better Cat Management
This issue might seem minor, but it becomes a big problem as players collect dozens – even hundreds – of unique cats with different abilities and traits. Managing so many feline soldiers is proving difficult, as one player explained on the Mewgenics subreddit. User PrizeAtmosphere9132 pointed out the lack of basic organizational tools: “I was surprised there’s no way to view and sort your cats by stats, class, or mutations.” Currently, players have to click through each cat individually to check its details, which is manageable with a few cats but becomes tedious with a large collection. While the game shows cat family trees, it lacks the sorting, filtering, and overview features players are requesting.
Players want more than just a simple list of characters. They’re also requesting improvements to the game’s interface to help with making quick decisions during battles. Specifically, they’d like to see health bars for all units displayed at once, and better information about equipment and abilities available during combat – not just when it’s a player’s turn. One player explained they often waste time checking what a unit can do because the game doesn’t show enough information upfront. Others are asking for clearer warnings about things like tile effects, enemy powers, and dangerous areas, which can quickly lead to unexpected failures.
