In approximately late August or early September, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is anticipated to introduce the Jurassic World: Archipelago add-on. This exciting expansion will feature dinosaurs and exotic islands, offering players a unique opportunity to explore Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 with a prehistoric flair.
Over the years, the Microsoft Flight Simulator series has evolved into a hub teeming with third-party content and user-generated modifications. From add-ons enabling camping experiences to those integrating outdoor sports, there’s an abundance of choices available. One particularly active creator of these mods is Orbx Studios, an Australian company that designs add-ons for various simulators, primarily focusing on creating content for flight simulation platforms. Their upcoming project is a Jurassic World-themed pack for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
Jurassic World Collaboration Coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
In their latest announcement, Orbx Studios has teamed up with Universal Products & Experiences, the joint owner of the Jurassic World intellectual property, to develop a dinosaur-themed expansion for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This new content, named Jurassic World: Archipelago, is set to launch around late August or early September on the OrbxDirect website (for PC) and the in-game marketplace (on Xbox).
The upcoming add-on will feature Isla Nublar and the five islands of the Muertes Archipelago, complete with six airstrips, twelve helipads, and a variety of dinosaurs such as Apatosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Dimorphodon, Gallimimus, Mosasaurus, Pteranodon, Stegosaurus, Tyrannosaurus rex, and Velociraptor. Additionally, changes have been made to the scenery at Costa Rica’s Juan Santamaria Airport and Herradura Bay Marina within the game.
Future plans also include creating similar add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and X-Plane 12.

The “Jurassic World: Archipelago” content pack, developed by Orbx Studios, merges two widely beloved franchises. This blend is likely to captivate current fans of Microsoft Flight Simulator, while also offering a chance to entice new players who are fans of the Jurassic World franchise. Collaborations with popular brands often lead to significant game growth, which is likely anticipated for Orbx Studio’s add-on for MSFS 2024 as well.

Alongside the upcoming collaboration, fans of Jurassic World can also note down October 21 on their calendars for the impending release of Jurassic World Evolution 3, a construction and management simulation game planned for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Conversely, enthusiasts of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 might be excited about the possibility of the game being made available on a new platform, as whispers of a PS5 port have been growing louder.
