Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will arrive on PlayStation 5 on December 8, 2025, over a year after it first became available on Xbox Series X|S and PC. This release continues a recent pattern of Microsoft bringing games previously exclusive to its own consoles to other platforms. Players will be able to experience Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on PS5 later this year.
While not for everyone, Microsoft has consistently created some of the best flight simulator games available. The series began in 1982, originally for IBM computers, and has grown to include over a dozen titles in its 43-year run. However, releases have become less frequent since *Microsoft Flight Simulator X* came out in 2006.

The newest installment in the series, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, is officially coming to PlayStation 5 on December 8, 2025, as revealed during the September 24 PlayStation State of Play presentation. While the original PC and Xbox versions had some initial loading time problems, the game was praised for its stunning graphics and innovative features like landscape streaming – a big improvement over the 2020 release. You can pre-order the PlayStation 5 version now, and virtual reality fans will be happy to hear that PlayStation VR2 support is also being developed for the game.
