Update [Mon 28th Jul 2025, 3:15pm]:
The Chinese game developer S-Game has recently made available their high-definition 4K video showcase of the sensational gameplay demonstration for Phantom Blade Zero. This footage was recorded directly on the PlayStation 5 console.
Even though the video appears exactly the same as before, it concludes with a brief teaser that reveals the game’s official launch date will be disclosed in 2025.
Just to clarify, announcing a release date for the game this year isn’t guaranteed, but we can definitely pencil down a date in our calendars as we anticipate an early 2026 launch.
Original Story: Chinese developer S-GAME has been cooking.
Earlier today at their S-PARTY event in Beijing, the developer unveiled approximately 20 minutes of gameplay from their forthcoming action RPG, Phantom Blade Zero, which was recorded using typical PS5 equipment.
Above, you’ll find a video that highlights the vast array of weapons coming in the next action RPG, ensuring exciting and intense battles ahead.
It seems this game is merging aspects of Soulslikes and classic action character titles, creating a distinct fusion. For instance, it retains a stamina gauge, yet the speed is similar to that seen in Devil May Cry.
As a passionate gamer, I want to make it clear that the developers have repeatedly emphasized that this game is not a clone of FromSoftware’s masterpieces. Instead, it will offer a diverse range of challenge levels, with no less than four different difficulty options available right from the get-go, ensuring an engaging experience for gamers of all skill sets.
Although the environmental artwork could use more vibrancy, the diverse array of enemy types and battle strategies has left us quite astonished. What’s more, we can’t help but appreciate the intricate counter and parry movements showcased in the video.
How do you feel about this lengthy video? Does it leave you amazed by its presentation? Switch to a different topic in the comment section beneath.
