Mojang Seemingly Teases New Minecraft Feature

Enthusiasts of Minecraft are thrilled with its smaller and frequent updates, and now it seems Mojang is hinting at another significant addition in the game’s upcoming update. On Twitter, the official Minecraft account shared a picture of a Lodestone accompanied by two rocks and two side-eye emojis as the caption, leaving fans baffled yet intrigued. While the image might just be ordinary stones to many, the alt text reveals that this is indeed a Lodestone. However, the specifics of what Mojang could be hinting about the Lodestone are still a mystery.

Currently, Lodestone blocks in Minecraft primarily serve a single function: they enable players to adjust the direction of their compass so it consistently points towards them. These versatile blocks can be utilized across all three dimensions and can be obtained either by finding them in chest loot or crafting them using Chiseled Stone Bricks and a Netherite Ingot. Introduced in Minecraft’s 1.16 patch, also known as The Nether Update, the Lodestone block has remained unaltered since then. However, it seems that this could soon be about to undergo some changes.
