- The Minecraft community is getting creative with Happy Ghasts, with players sharing ideas for their use.
As a devoted Minecraft enthusiast, I’ve recently accomplished something quite remarkable: I built an operating train using the elusive Happy Ghast mob! Ever since the sandbox title was unleashed in 2011, various mobs have been incorporated into Minecraft, and each time a new creature emerges, players like me find innovative ways to engage with them, leading to some truly fascinating outcomes.
In April, a new type of creature called the Happy Ghast was added to Minecraft through a snapshot. Multiple players (up to four) can control these creatures simultaneously. The Happy Ghasts can be developed from a Ghastling over time, and this process can be sped up by giving the mob snowballs.
Reddit user katgirlsky posted a video showcasing their homemade train station in Minecraft, complete with functional trains powered by Happy Ghasts within minecarts. These creatures can be hopped onto by players in the game. Katgirlsky shared that it took them approximately seven hours to fine-tune the operation of this train and noted that, given enough perseverance, other players could replicate it in survival mode. It’s worth mentioning that Happy Ghasts usually look around in different directions, but katgirlsky found a workaround by using the NoAI console command when summoning them. This feature eliminates their artificial intelligence, keeping them stationary and helping to maintain a sleek appearance for the train.
A Minecraft Gamer Makes a Train by Utilizing the Happy Ghast Mobs
The train created by katgirlsky has garnered significant attention, with its design receiving over 13,000 likes on a shared post. Many gamers have expressed interest in constructing their own version, leading katgirlsky to promise a tutorial for Minecraft players aiming to customize their Happy Ghasts. A player humorously suggested that whenever a new mob is introduced, the immediate response is to domesticate it. This was followed by another gamer who considered crafting uses for new creatures as a long-standing tradition. The train built by katgirlsky is truly remarkable and demonstrates the potential of thinking beyond conventional limits.
In addition to Katgirlsky, another Minecraft enthusiast has shown creativity with the Happy Ghasts by designing LEGO models featuring both the Ghasts and Ghastlings. Although these creatures are still relatively novel in Minecraft, players have already been having a blast experimenting with them. In fact, they’ve been sharing their ideas on how the Happy Ghasts should interact within the game’s open environment. As fans continue to spend more time with these new mobs, it remains to be seen what further creations the Minecraft community will come up with.
