Popular online creator MoistCr1TiKaL, who also goes by penguinz0, recently shared details about his earnings from YouTube and Twitch. While it’s well known that a small number of content creators can make a lot of money, exact figures are usually just guesses. Although some, like streamer Amouranth, have given hints about their income, very few have openly shared the full amount they’ve earned.
Charles White Jr., better known as MoistCr1TiKal, is a well-established and popular personality on YouTube and Twitch. He recently announced, on October 9th, that he’s disabled most ways for viewers to send him money on both platforms, including donations and Super Chats. While he can’t prevent donations entirely on Twitch, he’s made the minimum amount so high that it discourages most people from sending them. Most fans and viewers supported this decision, though a few, including some other successful creators, disagreed with it.
Penguinz0 Shares His Twitch and YouTube Income
MoistCr1TiKaL, known for his straightforward style, recently explained his decision to stop accepting ads by sharing his earnings as a content creator over the past two decades. He revealed he’s made over $5.5 million from Twitch streaming since 2017, and an even more impressive $36 million from his YouTube channel, penguinz0, which he started in 2007 and now has over 17 million subscribers. He emphasized that these figures don’t include income from sponsorships or other sources, and also mentioned he donated his earnings from the first four or five years of his YouTube career to charity.

MoistCr1TiKaL has decided to stop accepting donations because he believes he’s already making enough money. He describes the amount people have sent him as incredibly high and feels uncomfortable taking it, especially since his job is relatively easy. He encourages fans to spend their money on themselves or donate to worthwhile causes instead. He points out that most streamers, including himself, primarily earn money through ads on platforms like Twitch and YouTube. He estimates that disabling donations and other features like memberships would cost him around $1 million a year, based on his previous earnings.

MoistCr1TiKaL wants to make it clear that his decision to stop earning money on Twitch and YouTube isn’t meant as a protest or to encourage others to do the same. He simply feels uncomfortable accepting money when he believes many of his viewers likely work harder and earn less than he does. It’s a personal choice, and he isn’t trying to start a trend.
