Monopoly GO: How Does Rent Frenzy Work

Monopoly GO has a bunch of flash events that pop up throughout the day. Joining them is a great way to earn more cash and other useful resources. Most of these flash events don’t last long, like High Roller, which is usually around 10 to 15 minutes, or Mega Heist, which lasts for 30 to 50 minutes. One of these boosters is Rent Frenzy.

Rent Frenzy is a great Monopoly GO flash event if you’re looking to make some quick cash. It is simple to play, but if you want to get the most out of it, you need to know how it works. This guide will tell you everything you need to know.

How Does Rent Frenzy Work in Monopoly GO?

While the Rent Frenzy booster is active, more rent targets will pop up on your board. And more rent targets mean more chances to collect cash.

In case you’re unfamiliar, Rent Boxes represent spaces on the board with other players’ markers. When you arrive at one, you earn rent from that player. It’s not a large sum individually, but due to an increased number of Rent Boxes, the money accumulates rapidly.

The amount you earn depends on how valuable your properties are. The better your properties, the more rent you get. And, of course, if you really want to increase your earnings, you have the option to crank up your roll multiplier.

Monopoly GO gives out Rent Frenzy pretty often. You usually get one every couple of days. One important thing to note here is that banner events and tournaments don’t give out Rent Frenzy as a reward. So the only way to play it is to log in while it’s live. If tycoons miss it, they will have to wait for the next one.

When Rent Frenzy is live, you’ll see its icon on the screen’s right side, just below the tournament icon. It also shows how much time is left before it ends. The event usually lasts around 30 minutes, so you will have to be quick.

The timing for Rent Frenzy isn’t fixed. The only way to know if it’s active is to log in and check. We also post a daily event schedule, so you can check that to see if Rent Frenzy is happening that day. When you log in, your timer will start. Unlike banner events and tournaments that end at the same time for everyone, this timer is different for each player based on when they log in.
