Capcom has released a new trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection. The trailer showcases the characters and storyline of the RPG, building excitement among fans for its upcoming release.
The *Monster Hunter Stories* series started as a different take on the popular *Monster Hunter* games, first appearing on the Nintendo 3DS in 2016. Unlike the main *Monster Hunter* games which focus on action, *Monster Hunter Stories* uses turn-based battles. The first game was so successful that it was later released on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile. This led to the release of *Monster Hunter Stories 2* in 2021, and just recently, in July, Capcom announced the next installment, *Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection*.

The game takes place 200 years after a war between the nations of Azuria and Vermeil. Players will take on the role of the Azurian heir, leading a team of Rangers alongside Eleanor, the princess of Vermeil. Together, they’ll embark on a quest to determine the fate of their kingdoms, connected to a prophecy about the birth of twin Rathalos monsters. *Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection* is scheduled for release on March 13, 2026, and will be available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
The trailer offered quick looks at gameplay from *Monster Hunter Stories 3*, showing the characters battling a Feral Chatacabra and a Magnamalo. Though brief, these scenes revealed the main character performing a double attack with their Rathalos partner. Like other *Monster Hunter Stories* games, the new RPG will use a turn-based combat system.
