Capcom’s “Monster Hunter World” has been released globally, and even with some initial problems, its PC version is off to a fantastic start. In less than 24 hours, it currently boasts over 1.28 million simultaneous players on Steam, placing it as the seventh most-played game in Steam’s history at this moment.
Not only has it outperformed games like Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, Hogwarts Legacy, and Baldur’s Gate 3, but it has also set a new record for Capcom as the most successful PC launch, surpassing even the numbers of Monster Hunter World (334,684) and Monster Hunter Rise (231,360).
Despite numerous reports about problems such as suboptimal performance and frequent crashes, the game has received a “Mixed” rating due to only 47% of over 9,000 user reviews being positive. Capcom has yet to comment on these issues, but keep an eye out for future announcements.
The game titled “Monster Hunter Wilds” can also be played on the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. For a comprehensive understanding, you may want to read our review; we’ve rated it with an impressive 8 out of 10.
