The developers of Monster Hunter Wilds have cautioned players caught using cheats during multiplayer games, emphasizing that they will take steps to penalize any tampered Arena Quest rankings deemed dishonest.
Title Update 1 for Monster Hunter Wilds will be available starting April 4, introducing several exciting features. Players can now challenge and defeat Mizutsune, Arch-tempered Rey Dau, and socialize at the newly added Grand Hub. A notable new addition is the inclusion of Arena Quests, which promises an exhilarating experience for all!
As a gamer, I relish the thrill of joining forces with another Hunter in these real-time quests. We get to showcase our honed abilities and strive for the ultimate victory – the fastest kill times. The swiftest runs are proudly displayed on a worldwide leaderboard, allowing everyone to appreciate our gaming prowess.
For devoted Monster Hunter speedrunners and those eager to showcase their talents globally, this is an incredibly thrilling development. Yet, whispers of cheaters tainting the global rankings have been a cause for concern. However, the developers of Monster Hunter Wilds have provided reassurance on this front.
MH Wilds devs issue warning to cheaters
From the Monster Hunter X team’s official announcement, it’s clear that Capcom plans to implement disciplinary actions towards players caught using hacks during Arena Quests. The developers elaborated on this by stating:
Capcom states that they will address any accounts found engaging in dishonest ranking activities, like cheating or utilizing external software, to maintain a pleasant and balanced gaming environment for all players. Such violators risk account suspension or having limitations imposed, preventing them from receiving rewards from certain quests.
Not only did the developers check the actions of the initial group of Hunters, but they will also examine any other Hunters involved in a cheating mission.

In case it’s discovered that anyone from a team has cheated during a multiplayer hunt, their time for completing the quest will not count, and the entire group may lose the entitlement to the rewards.
As a gamer, I’ve noticed that the developers haven’t spoken about whether cooperative players who don’t cheat will get their accounts suspended. However, when I spot anything fishy with other gamers, I prefer to back off from the mission and report them for potential rule-breaking activities.
