In Monster Hunter Wilds, you now have the chance to challenge your friends or fellow players in an arm wrestling match right from your lobby! This article breaks down everything you need to know about it.
At long last, Title Update 1 for Monster Hunter Wilds has introduced the Grand Hub, a feature players have been asking for since the game’s debut. Essentially, it serves as the Wilds equivalent of the Gathering Hub, offering opportunities to interact with fellow gamers and relax. Furthermore, you can engage in enjoyable mini-games to provide a brief respite from your massive hunting expeditions.
Arm Wrestling is one of the mini-games available from the Grand Hub. Unlike Barrel Bowling, it’s a player-versus-player (PvP) mode where you can challenge any other player to an arm wrestling match. In this guide, we will walk you through how to engage in an arm wrestling contest within Monster Hunter Wilds.
This version maintains the original meaning while making it more natural and easy to read for a wider audience.
How To Arm Wrestle in Monster Hunter Wilds
In Monster Hunter Wilds, you’re only allowed to engage in arm wrestling matches within the Grand Hub. This Player versus Player event is held on top of specific barrels, and there are just two such locations throughout the entire Grand Hub. Fortunately, these barrels are situated in the same region. Here’s how you can locate them:
1. Head towards the central area of the Grand Hub.
2. Keep your eyes peeled for a pair of barrels atop which arm wrestling events occur.
3. Once you spot them, challenge your friends or other players to a friendly match!
Arm Wrestling Spot Locations in Monster Hunter Wilds Grand Hub
Inside the Grand Hub, head towards the central part of the building. Look for the Ingredient Center, and you’ll notice an arm wrestling barrel nearby. If you face the opposite direction from there, another arm wrestling barrel should be visible. Approach either of these barrels and engage with them to initiate the process.
Once you engage with the barrel, it sets up an automatic assumption for an arm wrestling stance. As soon as another participant interacts with the same barrel, a spontaneous arm wrestling contest between the two of us kicks off.
How To Play Arm Wrestling in Monster Hunter Wilds
As a gamer, I find that arm wrestling games are all about who can press the buttons the most furiously. If you just keep mashing X or O on your console controller with all your might, you’ll likely overwhelm your opponent and send them sprawling to the side in quite a funny spectacle. Your character will then celebrate with some cheerful and amusing animations, while the defeated player struggles back to their feet.
In a similar fashion, just like when you lose an arm wrestling contest, you’ll find yourself toppling over. However, unlike arm wrestling, there are no prizes awarded for victory in Monster Hunter Wilds when the word “Defeat” flashes boldly on your screen.
