Fans of Monster Hunter Wilds are expressing concern following a recent update announcement by Capcom regarding Update 2 for the game, which is expected to drop towards the end of this month. While PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X players eagerly anticipate this update, some cautious enthusiasm has been sparked due to new details from Capcom that have somewhat tempered initial excitement.
Previously, I was all fired up about the news that Capcom mentioned “new monsters” in connection with Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2. But then, in a recent roadmap they revealed, instead of saying “monsters,” they now use the phrase “additional monster.” So it seems like the update will only introduce one new beastie to hunt down, rather than multiple ones.
After unveiling the Monster Hunter Wilds roadmap, enthusiasts quickly expressed a worry that hasn’t been addressed by Capcom yet. Some fans have suggested, though, that the roadmap graphics might not be trustworthy. They argue that despite the May 28 update being referred to as “Additional Tempered Monster,” only five were actually added in the end.
While the new Monster Hunter Wilds roadmap might appear confusing at first glance, it’s advisable not to focus too closely on the specific wording just yet. However, despite this clarification, some fans remain anxious as they worry that the upcoming update may be smaller than initially expected.
“As a devoted Monster Hunter Worlds player, if the upcoming Title Update 2 only includes Lagiacrus, I’m considering uninstalling the game and holding out for G rank. Waiting three months for just one monster feels too prolonged when there are other complete games vying for my attention.”
Another fan voices their concern: “I don’t want to sound pessimistic, but… it might be reaching a point where it’s no longer enjoyable for me.
